Fear of movement, pain, and loss of shoulder function are the most common problems irrespective of their approach to management after proximal humeral fracture (PHF). However, it has been unclear whether there could be differences between both treatments in early clinical outcomes. It can help physiotherapists to guide in choosing treatment approaches.

Evaluation of Tpeak-end interval, Tpeak-end/QT, and Tpeak-end/Qtc ratio during acute migraine attack in the emergency department.

Introduction: During an acute migraine attack, changes in ventricular repolarisation parameters may occur due to an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system. Tpeak-tend (Tp-e) interval, Tp-e/QT ratio, and Tp-e/corrected QT (QTc) ratio are novel parameters of arrhythmogenesis and can be easily calculated in electrocardiography (ECG). The objective of this study is to demonstrate that novel ventricular repolarisation parameters can anticipate the risk of ventricular dysrhythmia in the migraine attack period.

PECS II block for cardiac implantable electronic device insertion: A pilot study.

Aim: Some truncal blocks could provide adequate surgical anesthesia and postoperative analgesia in cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED) insertion. The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of the pectoral nerves (PECS) II block for CIED insertion.

Methods: PECS II blocks were performed on the left side using the ultrasound-guided single injection technique in all patients.

Antiproliferative and antiapoptotic effect of thymoquinone on cancer cells in vitro.

Objectives: Nigella sativa oil and thymoquinone were comparatively tested in vitro for their effects on human cancer cell lines (glioma,T98; prostate, LnCaP) as well as mouse embryonic fibroblast cell lines (3T3), and for the induction of apoptosis.

Methods: Individual cell lines were treated with thymoquinone and N. sativa oil for 24 and 48 hr.

The biofilms completely cover the walls and ceilings of the cave, giving rise to speculations about their metabolism. Here we report on first insights into the structure and function of the biofilm microbiota, combining geochemical, imaging and molecular analytics.

Effects of ceranib-2 on cell survival and TNF-alpha in colon cancer cell line.
