Ultrasonic nanocrystal surface modification (UNSM) is a unique, mechanical, impact-based surface severe plastic deformation (SPD) method. This newly developed technique finds diverse applications in the aerospace, automotive, nuclear, biomedical, and chemical industries. The severe plastic deformation (SPD) during UNSM can generate gradient nanostructured surface (GNS) layers with remarkable mechanical properties.

Stimuli-responsive and cellular targeted nanoplatforms for multimodal therapy of skin cancer.

Interdisciplinary applications of nanopharmaceutical sciences have tremendous potential for enhancing pharmacokinetics, efficacy and safety of cancer therapy. The limitations of conventional therapeutic platforms used for skin cancer therapy have been largely overcome by the use of nanoplatforms. This review discusses various nanotechnological approaches experimented for the treatment of skin cancer.
