While other languages have extensive datasets in this field, the number of sentiment analysis datasets in the Kurdish language is extremely limited, highlighting the necessity to build datasets for the language to advance its development. This study aimed to describe the clinical characteristics and serious medical and psychosocial complications of pregnant and postpartum adolescent patients at a pediatric emergency department (PED). Demographic and clinical data of all pregnant and postpartum adolescents who presented to the PED of a single tertiary referral hospital between January 2020 and January 2023 were collected and documented retrospectively. Refugee and asylum-seeker children and health problems in the city of Duzce, Türkiye.

Introduction: This study examines the health problems and healthcare needs of refugee and asylum-seeker children and aims to develop strategies for improvement.

Methods: Based on quantitative data from 448 refugee and asylum-seeker children and 222 non-refugee local children, this study was conducted at Düzce University, Department of Paediatrics, between 2010 and 2021. The refugee children originated from three countries: Iraq (n = 304), Syria (n = 101) and Afghanistan (n = 43).

A 13-year-old boy suffered an arterial ischaemic stroke (AIS) secondary to dissection of the left internal carotid artery (ICA) after he headed the ball during a game of football. He presented with generalised tonic-clonic seizure, loss of consciousness, right-sided hemiplegia and aphasia.

This study aimed to examine potential disparities in hematologic inflammation parameters between children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and their healthy counterparts and to determine whether atomoxetine treatment induced any alterations in inflammation indicators. This case-control study involved 43 children aged 6-13 years, 22 diagnosed with ADHD for the first time, and 21 healthy children. The rise of machine learning (ML) has recently buttressed the efforts for big data-driven precision oncology. This study used ensemble ML for precision oncology in breast cancer, which is one of the most common malignancies worldwide with marked heterogeneity of the underlying molecular mechanisms. We analyzed clinical and RNA-seq data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) (844 patients with breast cancer and 113 healthy individuals) and the Molecular Taxonomy of Breast Cancer International Consortium (METABRIC) (1784 patients with breast cancer and 202 healthy individuals).

COVID-19 Disease in Presenting to the Pediatric Emergency Department: A Multicenter Study of 8886 Cases.

Background: The aim was to evaluate the epidemiological, clinical, laboratory, and radiologic data of children with SARS-CoV-2 positivity by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) together with treatment strategies and clinical outcomes and to evaluate cases of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) in this population.

Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective observational cohort study performed in the pediatric emergency departments of 19 tertiary hospitals. From March 11, 2020, to May 31, 2021, children who were diagnosed with confirmed nasopharyngeal/tracheal specimen SARS-CoV-2 PCR positivity or positivity for serum-specific antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 were included.
