Background: Astaxanthin (AST) is a natural compound with anti-inflammatory/immunomodulatory properties that has been found to have probiotic properties. However, the role and mechanism of AST in chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) are still not fully understood.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of AST on CP/CPPS and elucidate the mediating role of the gut microbiota.

Objectives: To compare the perioperative and oncological outcomes of robotic-assisted tumor enucleation (RATE) and robotic-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) in the treatment of intermediate and high complexity renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

Methods: We retrospectively collected the data of 359 patients with intermediate and high complexity RCC who underwent RATE and RAPN. The perioperative, oncological, and pathological outcomes of the two groups were compared, and univariate and multivariate analyses were used to evaluate the risk factors for warm ischemia time (WIT) > 25 min.

Objectives: To compare the efficacy and safety of retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy (RLA) and transperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy (TLA) in the treatment of large (≥6cm) adrenal pheochromocytomas.

Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical data of 130 patients with large pheochromocytoma who underwent RLA or TLA in our hospital from 2012 to 2022. The perioperative parameters and follow-up outcomes of the two groups were compared, and univariate and multivariate analyses were used to evaluate the risk factors of hemodynamic instability (HI).

Objectives: To analyze the clinical features, imaging findings, and surgical results of 51 cases of adrenal ganglioneuroma (AGN) in our center to provide a clinical reference for its diagnosis and treatment.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 51 AGN patients admitted to our hospital. We summarized the clinical and imaging characteristics and analyzed the effects of different surgical methods and tumor size on the perioperative outcome.

Objectives: To analyze the development status, research hotspots, research frontiers and future development trends of the Notch signaling pathway in cancer through bibliometric analysis.

Methods: Publications related to the Notch signaling pathway in cancer were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), and information was extracted from the articles using Microsoft Excel 2020, CiteSpace V and VOSviewer software for visual analysis.

Results: The country and institution with the most publications are the USA and Harvard University, respectively.

Background: To compare the perioperative and short-term efficacy and cost of the da Vinci Xi and da Vinci Si surgical systems for radical prostatectomy.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 175 patients with prostate cancer who underwent radical prostatectomy with the da Vinci Si or Xi surgical systems in our hospital from June 2019 to June 2020. Of the 175 patients, 82 underwent robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy with the da Vinci Xi surgery system, and 93 patients underwent robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy with the da Vinci Si surgical system.

Background: SLFN11 has been found to regulate the development and progression of a variety of cancers and is associated with drug therapy, while its role in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains unclear; therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate SLFN11 expression in ccRCC patients and its correlations with clinicopathological and immunological features.

Methods: Gene profiles of ccRCC and the clinicopathological information of patients were downloaded from the TCGA database. Microarrays from the GEO database were used as a validation set for SLFN11 expression, which was experimentally verified in renal cancer cell lines by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR); protein expression and methylation levels were obtained from the HPA database and the UALCAN database.
