Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most prevalent sexually transmitted infection globally, with significant implications for various anogenital cancers, such as vulval, vaginal, anal, penile, head and neck cancers. HPV infections have been linked to the induction of inflammation. In contrast, Interleukin-37 (IL-37) is recognized as an anti-inflammatory cytokine.

The involvement of let-7 in the occurrence and progression of various cancers has been well-documented. However, the precise molecular mechanisms underlying its impact on oral cancer development remain unclear. In this study, we aimed to elucidate the role of let-7 in oral cancer progression and investigate its underlying molecular mechanisms.

Visceral hypersensitivity was induced by intracolonic 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS) in rat. The antinociception effect of electroacupuncture on visceral pain was evaluated by morphology, behaviors, neuroelectrophysiology and molecular biology techniques.

We investigated the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture combined with conventional pharmacological treatment on motor dysfunction and constipation in PD.
Methods: In this multi-centre randomised controlled trial, we enrolled 166 eligible participants between September 19, 2018 and September 25, 2019 in four hospitals in China.
Background: The miR-144/451a cluster acts as a tumor suppressor in various tumors by synergistically inhibiting the proliferation, migration, and invasion of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).
Aims: To achieve the synergistic delivery of the miR-144/451a cluster for OSCC treatment by constructing chitosan nanoparticles (CAs) camouflaged with macrophage membranes.
Study Design: A cell-culture study.

Acupuncture and moxibustion have definite clinical effects on treating ulcerative colitis (UC), but their mechanism is still unclear. To investigate the molecular mechanisms, we applied herb-partitioned moxibustion or electroacupuncture at the Tianshu (ST25) points on UC rats and used RNA sequencing to identify molecular consequences. Male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were divided into 6 groups randomly: the normal control (NC) group, the control + herb-partitioned moxibustion (NCHM) group, the control + electroacupuncture (NCEA) group, the model (UC) group, the model + herb-partitioned moxibustion (UCHM) group, and the model + electroacupuncture (UCEA) group.

However, the role of MEG3 in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is rarely reported. The current study aimed to evaluate the expression of lncRNA MEG3 in OSCC tissues and cell lines and its effect on the biological behavior of OSCC cell lines.

Methods: A randomized, single-blind study was conducted 63 patients to receive HPM or sham HPM treatment. The efficacy outcomes included scores of the Mayo, Baron, inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire (IBDQ), self-rating depression scale (SDS), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS).
Introduction: TRAIL (tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand) can induce apoptosis in a variety of cancer cells. However, drug resistance of tumor and short half-life seriously affects its clinical targeted therapy. Cabazitaxel (CTX) is a taxane drug, which can induce apoptosis or autophagy by inhibiting the phosphorylation of PI3K/Akt/mTOR and sensitive to some drug-resistant tumors.

Using a hydrothermal method, 0D/2D BiTaO/TiC heterojunctions were designed rationally and characterized systematically as excellent photocatalysts for photocatalytic degradation. The hybrid catalyst exhibits superior performance in visible-light-driven photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (about 99% degradation efficiency after 2 h) and excellent stability (up to 10 cycles) under visible light irradiation (300 W Xe lamp; λ > 420 nm; light intensity 150 mW cm).

Acupuncture can have a positive on chronic functional constipation and PD, but its efficacy for the treatment of constipation in PD has not yet been confirmed by high-quality clinical trials. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture (EA) in the treatment of constipation in PD.

Methods: Sixty patients were randomly divided into an acupuncture group (31 cases) and a medication group (29 cases). Patients in the two groups received basic treatment to control blood sugar within a safe range.

Currently, the intraoperative location of microelectrode position in the globus pallidus is subjective and qualitative; it only depends on the experience of doctors during pallidotomy for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The fractal characteristic of neuronal discharge signals is analyzed for target localization; the factor of box dimension is extracted from the microelectrode recordings for identifying the neuronal structures at the depth of microelectrode. New objective and quantitative targeting technique is presented by processing clinical microelelctrode recordings of Parkinson's disease.
