Macromolecule hydrogels made from natural extracts have received much attention because of their favorable biocompatibility and wound healing properties. However, their clinical applications are limited by their insufficient mechanical strength and low adhesion properties. To overcome these limitations, we developed a novel injectable Aloe vera hydrogel (PDMA-GelMA@AV).

Along with the demand for further miniaturization of high and pulsed power devices, it becomes more and more important to realize ultrahigh recoverable energy storage density (W ) with high energy storage efficiency (η) and ultrahigh discharge energy storage density (W ) accompanied by high power density (P ) in dielectrics. To date, it remains, however, a big challenge to achieve high W or W in glass ceramics compared to other dielectric energy storage materials. Herein, a strategy of defect formation modulation is applied to form "amorphous-disordered-ordered" microstructure in BaTiO -based glass ceramics so as to achieve a high W of 12.

Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PNVS) is a rare and disabling disease that is thought to occur mostly in the knee joint. Here, the authors first present a unique case of PNVS occurring at the sacroiliac joint. The patient complained of sacroiliac joint pain with mild swelling.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) results from various pathogenic factors that destroy the normal structure and function of the spinal cord, subsequently causing sensory, motor, and autonomic nerve dysfunction. SCI is one of the most common causes of disability and death globally. It leads to severe physical and mental injury to patients and causes a substantial economic burden on families and the society.

Cervical cancer occurs as a result of the persistent infection of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV16 oncoproteins E6 and E7 exert different and concerted pro-tumor actions in cell transformation and malignance maintenance in various m echanisms. Nanobody expressed as "intracellular antibodies" (intrabodies) can target intracellular antigens to hamper their function efficaciously and specifically.

Programmed death ligand 1 (PDL1, CD274, B7-H1) has been identified as the ligand for the immune inhibitory receptor programmed death 1 protein (PD1/PDCD1). PDL1 is a member of B7 family of immune molecules and this protein together with PDL2, are two ligands for PD1 expressed on activated lymphoid cells. By binding to PD1 on activated T cells, PDL1 may inhibit T cell responses by inducing apoptosis.

A droplet that impacts on a superhydrophobic surface will undergo a process of unfolding, contracting, and finally rebounding from the surface. With regards to the pancake bouncing behavior of a droplet, since the retraction process of the droplet is omitted, the contact time is greatly shortened compared to the normal type of bouncing. However, the quantitative prediction to the range of droplet pancake bouncing and the adjustment of pancake bouncing state have yet to be probed into.

Unidirectional transport is attracting increasing attention in the field of microfluidics, because it does not require an external energy supply. However, most of the current self-driving structures are still plagued with persistent problems that restrict their practical applications. These include low transport velocity, short transport distance, and complex structure.

The persistent infection of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common causes of cervical cancer. It is well documented that expression of two oncogenes (E6/E7) plays a key role in tumor progression. HPV16E7 -targeting via nanobody (Nb) therefore could be beneficial for HPV16-associated cancer diagnosis and therapy.

Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (malat1) is an oncogenic long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) which has been proven to be associated with various types of tumors. Transcription factor specificity protein 1 (SP1) is overexpressed in many types of cancers. Previously, we observed that malat1 expression level is regulated by SP1 in lung cancer.

Tumour repressor p53 isoform Δ133p53 is a target gene of p53 and an antagonist of p53-mediated apoptotic activity. We recently demonstrated that Δ133p53 promotes DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair by upregulating transcription of the repair genes RAD51, LIG4 and RAD52 in a p53-independent manner. However, Δ133p53 lacks the transactivation domain of full-length p53, and the mechanism by which it exerts transcriptional activity independently of full-length p53 remains unclear.

Nano-Se/bamboo charcoal (BC) composites were prepared successfully by hydrothermal method. The composites were characterized by SEM, XRD, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Atomic fluorescence spectroscopy (AFS) analysis. The effects of the synthesized conditions on the morphologies of Se particles on BC were investigated.

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Shengjing prescription for oligoasthenozoospermia and its action mechanism.

Methods: We equally assigned 120 patients with oligoasthenozoospermia to receive Shengjing prescription (treatment group) and vitamin E (control group), respectively, for 12 weeks. Before and after the treatment, were obtained sperm concentration, sperm motility, the percentage of morphologically normal sperm, the levels of serum follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), testosterone (T) and luteinizing hormone (LH), sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI), the percentage of hypotonic swelling sperm, and the levels of seminal plasma elastase, x-glucosidase, fructose, zinc and acrosin.
