In contrast to polymer films with ionic liquids that have high moisture permeability, the CP/[N][SS] films exhibit remarkable water resistance even under 8 bar pressure. This is due to the physical cross-linking between the [N] ions and CP's polar groups, limiting CP chain mobility and thus reducing water interaction.

A pore was formed in the battery separator by [N][SS], which pierced a plasticized part due to water pressure. Varying drying temperatures during membrane fabrication revealed that the CA/[N][SS] membrane dried at 50 °C exhibited greater thickness and a smaller average pore size, resulting in an asymmetric internal structure.

Materials And Methods: We developed a virtual, one-hour workshop engaging students, housestaff and faculty in small-group discussions of five case scenarios adapted from reported unprofessional behaviors in the CLE, plus didactics regarding mistreatment, microaggressions and bystander interventions.
Results: Over two sessions (2021-2022), we engaged 340 students and 73 faculty/housestaff facilitators.
The synthesis of imidazole fused spirocyclic ketones as templates for acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) inhibitors is reported. By completing the spirocyclic ring closure via divergent pathways, the synthesis of these regioisomers from common intermediates was developed. Through an aldehyde homologation/transmetalation strategy, one isomer was formed selectively.

Ervogastat is a first-in-class DGAT2 inhibitor that addressed potential development risks of the prototype liver-targeted DGAT2 inhibitor PF-06427878. Key design elements that culminated in the discovery of ervogastat are (1) replacement of the metabolically labile motif with a 3,5-disubstituted pyridine system, which addressed potential safety risks arising from a cytochrome P450-mediated -dearylation of PF-06427878 to a reactive quinone metabolite precursor, and (2) modifications of the amide group to a 3-THF group, guided by metabolite identification studies coupled with property-based drug design.

This isotopic exchange process can be used to synthesize MeNCD(OMe) and has significant implications for the use of MeNCD(OMe) in the synthesis of specifically deuterium-labeled compounds.
