The surface receptor CUB domain-containing protein 1 (CDCP1) is highly expressed in several adenocarcinomas and speculated to participate in anchorage-independent cell survival and cell motility. Tyrosine kinase phosphorylation seems to be crucial for intracellular signaling of CDCP1. Lapatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), is approved for treatment of HER-2/neu overexpressing metastatic breast cancer and functions by preventing autophosphorylation following HER-2/neu receptor activation.

The optimized structure is in very good agreement with experiments, reproducing the bent-up deformation of the corrin ring as well as the metal-ligand bond distances. The analysis of the binding energies, bond orders, and vibrational stretching frequencies shows that the axial base slightly weakens the Co-C bond (by 4%), while the alkyl ligand substantially reinforces the Co-axial base bond (by 90%).

Our simulations at 173 and 300 K reveal that one of the oxime protons remains bonded to a nitroxyl group, while the proton of the second NO.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA quantitative study of the structure and electronic properties of Co-corrole, Co-corrin, and Co-porphyrin, using density functional theory, is reported. The structure of each macrocycle is optimized, with no symmetry constraints, by considering different spin states. The ground-state structures and spin states (S = 1 for Co-corrole, S = 0 for Co-corrin and S = 1/2 for Co-porphyrin) are in good agreement with the experimental data available.
