Mobility edges, which demarcate the boundary between extended and localized states, are fundamental to understanding the physics of localization in condensed matter systems. Systems exhibiting exact mobility edges are rare, and the localization properties of phonons have received limited prior investigation. In this work, we reveal analytical mobility edges in one-dimensional quasiperiodic-modulated spring-mass chains.

It is a common occurrence in the fracture processes of deep carbonate reservoirs that the fracturing construction pressure during hydraulic fracturing operation exceeds 80 MPa. The maximum pumping pressure is determined by the rated pressure of the pumping pipe equipment and the reservoir characteristics, which confine the fracture to the target area. When the pump pressure exceeds the safety limit, hydraulic fracturing has to reduce the construction displacement to prevent potential accidents caused by overpressure.

Herein, this study reports the development of a multifunctional conductive antibacterial cotton fabric through the utilization of the natural polyphenol-mediated silver mirror reaction. The experimental results demonstrate that polyphenols can effectively facilitate the deposition of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), resulting in a uniform and durable hybrid nanocoating on the cotton fabric. The effects of polyphenol's molecular weights on the coating structures and stabilities have been revealed via two distinct approaches: washing resistance and electrochemical testing systems.

BiS holds immense potential to be promoted as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), owing to the high theoretical gravimetric and volumetric capacities. However, the poor electrical conductivity and volume expansion during cycling hinder the practical applications of BiS. Therefore, through subsequent heat treatment, the nitrogen-doped carbon film was successfully loaded on the nanosphere BiS, which we call nitrogen-rich carbon layer-coated BiS (NC@BiS).

Vertical stratification of forest plays important roles in the local material balance and in maintaining forest health by distributing and redistributing precipitation materials through adsorption, fixation, and release. Differences in runoff nutrient concentrations among vertical layers are closely related to vertical stratification (factors such as the trunk, canopy, forest litter, and soil physical and chemical properties). Long-term forest observations revealed significant spatial differences in Pinus massoniana (Pinus massoniana Lamb.
