Developing durably active catalysts to tackle harsh voltage polarization and seawater corrosion is pivotal for efficient solar-to-hydrogen (STH) conversion, yet remains a challenge. We report a durably active catalyst of NiCr-layered double hydroxide (RuldsNiCr-LDH) with highly exposed Ni-O-Ru units, in which low-loading Ru (0.32 wt%) is locked precisely at defect lattice site (Rulds) by Ni and Cr.

However, the uneven structural relaxation caused by Al ions has been overlooked, significantly affecting the defect state and catalytic activity. When an AlO crucible is used, optimizing this defect engineering presents a significant challenge.

In this study, a composite of bismuth oxyhalide heterojunction incorporated with metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) was engineered on carbon cloth (Zr-MOF/BiOIBr/CC) as an efficient bifunctional catalyst to enhance the oxygen electrode reaction in photo-assisted LOBs. Compared to Zr-MOF/CC, Zr-MOF/BiOIBr/CC significantly expands the light absorption spectrum of the catalyst.

The current Tumor Node Metastasis (TNM) stage and Mayo clinical classification do not appropriately identify preference-sensitive treatment. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a better ideal model for precision medicine.

However, selectively converting CO into fuels with desired reaction products remains a grand challenge. Herein, we design an updated method via an aging strategy based on the electrospinning technique to synthesize a single-crystalline Al-doped SrTiO nanotubular networks with self-assembled orderly mesopores, further modified by Cu-Pd alloy.

Here, we applied a Prussian blue analogue (PBA) material KZn(Fe(CN)) as an artificial solid electrolyte interphase (SEI), by which the plentiful -C≡N- ligands at the surface and the large channels in the open framework structure can operate as a highly zincophilic moderator and ion sieve, inducing fast and uniform nucleation and deposition of Zn. Additionally, the dense interface effectively prevents water molecules from approaching the Zn surface, thereby inhibiting the hydrogen-evolution-resultant side reactions and corrosion.

Histone modifications regulate several biological processes that are fundamental to the development of cancer. Lysine methyltransferase 5C (KMT5C; also known as SUV420H2) is an epigenetic modifier responsible for the trimethylation of H4K20, which drives critical cellular events, including genome integrity, cell growth and epithelial‑mesenchymal transition (EMT), in various types of cancer.

However, the predictive value of TLS in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) for immunotherapies remains unclear. We comprehensively assessed the implications for prognosis and immunological responses of the TLS spatial and maturation heterogeneity in 655 ccRCC patients.

Some studies suggested that exposure to polystyrene microplastics (PS-MPs) may lead to renal inflammation and oxidative stress in animals. However, little is known about the essential effects of PS-MPs with high-fat diet (HFD) on renal development and microenvironment.

However, further investigation is required to understand the alterations in the immune microenvironment associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) occurrence following exposure to MPs. Experiments were performed using mice, which were given a normal chow or high-fat diet (NCD or HFD, respectively) plus free drinking of sterile water with or without MPs, respectively.

In this work, the electronic structure on the surface of ZnInS/ZnS (ZIS/ZnS) is significantly modified by the introduction and control of the surface S vacancies (S) through Ar-plasma treatment. EPR and XPS analyses confirmed that S was exclusively present on the ZIS/ZnS surface.

NRF2 hyperactivation is frequently observed in many types of cancer and promotes cancer initiation, progression, metastasis, and resistance to various therapies. Our study found that circDDIT4 is downregulated in prostate cancer and functions as a tumor suppressor during prostate cancer progression. By competitively binding to ELAV-like RNA binding protein 1 (ELAVL1/HuR) through its 3'-UTR, circDDIT4 acts as a protein sponge to decrease the expression of prostate cancer-overexpressed anoctamin 7 (ANO7).
