Unlabelled: -legume symbiosis is considered as the major contributor of biological nitrogen fixation. Bacterial small non-coding RNAs are crucial regulators in several cellular adaptation processes that occur due to the changes in metabolism, physiology, or the external environment. Identifying and analysing the conditional specific/sigma factor-54 regulated sRNAs provides a better understanding of sRNA regulation/mechanism in symbiotic association.

Bioinformatic prediction facilitates the identification of sRNAs expressed under different conditions. We propose a novel method of prediction of sRNAs from the genome of Agrobacterium based on a positional weight matrix of conditional sigma factors.

Leaf senescence induced by 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and senescence inhibition caused by supplementation with silver (Ag(+)) ions in the form of silver nitrate (AgNO(3)) or silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were investigated in 8-day-old mung bean (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) seedlings. Inhibition of root and shoot elongation were observed in mung bean seedlings treated with 500μM 2,4-D.

Factors that influence liposome-protoplast fusion were optimized as a function of PEG-concentration and incubation duration, liposome composition and surface charge and liposome:protoplast ratio. Phosphatidylcholine-liposomes were found ideal for the objectives of the study.
