Background: In epidural anaesthesia, the addition of an adjuvant to local anaesthetics enhances the efficacy, thereby providing increased duration and intensity of blockade in lower limb surgeries. The aim was to compare the efficacy, onset, and duration of sensory and motor blockade; haemodynamic changes; and sedative and analgesic effects of nalbuphine, clonidine, and dexmedetomidine as an adjuvant to ropivacaine in epidural anaesthesia.
Methodology: A prospective, randomised, double-blind study among 90 patients after taking consent was divided into three groups (30 patients each; Group D received 15 ml of 0.
Introduction: Tumoral calcinosis is a rare hereditary condition characterized by the deposition of calcium phosphate and hydroxyapatite in periarticular soft tissues. First described by Giard and Duret in 1898 and later detailed by Inclan in 1943, this condition has often been confused with other forms of periarticular calcification. Tumoral calcinosis predominantly affects young males and is typically found around major joints, such as the shoulder, elbow, hip, ankle, and wrist.

These demyelinating disorders influence cortical excitability, which has been studied using advanced imaging techniques and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in our study.
Methods: This is a prospective study of 30 subjects.
Background: Herpes simplex encephalitis (HSE), caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) is the most common cause of sporadic encephalitis that often presents as an emergency case of acute or sub-acute nature associated with poor prognosis. Early suspicion and prompt diagnostic testing with adequate antiviral therapy can only reduce morbidity and mortality associated with the disease. This study aims to evaluate the role of serological and molecular diagnosis of encephalitis caused by HSV 1 and 2 for timely detection of the disease.

Methods: The National Readmission Database (2016-2020) was utilized to identify intermediate to high-risk PE (IHR-PE) patients requiring CDI (thrombectomy, thrombolysis, and ultrasound-assisted thrombolysis).
Increasing attention to sustainability and cost-effectiveness in energy storage sector has catalyzed the rise of rechargeable Zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs). However, finding replacement for limited cycle-life Zn-anode is a major challenge. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS), an insertion-type 2D layered material, has shown promising characteristics as a ZIB anode.

Humans perceive discrete events such as "restaurant visits" and "train rides" in their continuous experience. One important prerequisite for studying human event perception is the ability of researchers to quantify when one event ends and another begins. Typically, this information is derived by aggregating behavioral annotations from several observers.

This study explores the genetic profiling of T2DM, aiming to bridge gaps in existing research and provide insights for further explorations.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of literature published up to September 2024 using databases like PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar to identify SNPs associated with T2DM in case-control studies within the Indian population.
Objective: No meta-analysis has holistically analyzed and summarized the efficacy and safety of the novel once-weekly basal insulin efsitora alfa in managing type 1 diabetes (T1D) and type 2 diabetes (T2D).
Methods: Clinical trials involving subjects with T1D and T2D receiving once-weekly efsitora alfa in the intervention arm and once-daily basal insulins in the control arm were searched throughout the electronic databases. The primary outcome assessed was the change from baseline in glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c).
Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a type of non-coding RNA molecules exceeding 200 nucleotides in length and that do not encode proteins. The dysregulated expression of lncRNAs has been identified in various diseases, holding therapeutic significance. Over the past decade, numerous computational resources have been published in the field of lncRNA.

Endoscopic removal of swallowed foreign substances is widely accepted, but sedation and general anesthesia may be required to alleviate pain and anxiety during the procedure. Dexmedetomidine is used as a sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic, and analgesic.

The phylodynamics of HCV genotypes/subtypes 1a, 1b, 2, and 3 are explored only for specific geographic regions. However, their genome based global origin and detailed spatiotemporal spread, have yet to be extensively studied.

Despite insulin replacement therapy, there is a need for therapies targeting the underlying autoimmune response. This review aims to explore the mechanistic insights into T1D pathogenesis and the impact of delivery systems on immunotherapy.

Still, their energy-power performance and durability are far from satisfactory. Here, we present an energy-dense, and ultrastable ZIHSC realized using activated porous carbons derived from chilli-stems.

Traditionally, this assay relies on two-dimensional (2D) cell culture conditions with colonies counted by fixing and staining protocols. While some groups have converted these to three-dimensional (3D) conditions, these models still utilize 2D-like media compositions containing serum that are incompatible with stem-like cell models such as brain tumor initiating cells (BTICs) that form self-aggregating spheroids in neural stem cell media.

Herein, for the first time, we demonstrate the successful synthesis of free-standing alpha tin with extraordinary stability up to 80 °C and in the aqueous phase at room temperature, which was supported by powder X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy characterization methods. This synthetic approach eliminates the need to use hazardous materials, bulky substrates, and elevated temperatures, offering a safer, low-cost, and more sustainable alternative.
