Doped semiconductors are often used to improve photocatalytic efficiency and address the challenges of easy recombination of electron-hole pairs and poor photoluminescence. However, the reproducibility and complexity of experimental studies result in time-consuming and less cost-effective studies, and it is difficult to gain insights into the intrinsic properties of doped photocatalysts to control their performance. Introducing a machine learning approach, we constructed a photocatalytic model of transition-metal- and rare earth metal-ion-doped γ-BiMoO.

Apolipoprotein B100 (apoB100) is a structural component of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and a ligand for the LDL receptor (LDLR). Mutations in apoB100 or in LDLR cause familial hypercholesterolaemia, an autosomal dominant disease that is characterized by a marked increase in LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) and a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. The structure of apoB100 on LDL and its interaction with LDLR are poorly understood.

Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) establishes a latent infection, and viral genes are poised to be transcribed in the latent chromatin. In the poised chromatins, KSHV latency-associated nuclear antigen (LANA) interacts with cellular chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 4 (CHD4) and inhibits viral promoter activation. CHD4 is known to regulate cell differentiation by preventing enhancers from activating promoters.
