Background: Isolated positive para-aortic lymph node metastasis in endometrial cancer is an uncommon event, ranging from 1% to 3%.

Objective: Our aim was to evaluate the impact of sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping on the risk of isolated positive para-aortic lymph node metastasis.

Methods: We retrospectively evaluated a series of 426 patients who underwent SLN mapping with at least one SLN detected from January 2013 to December 2021 (SLN group) compared with a historical series of 209 cases who underwent a systematic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy between June 2007 and April 2015 (LND group).

Early detection and prompt response are key factors in the eradication of 'huanglongbing' (HLB) in California. Currently, qPCR testing of leaf tissue guides the removal of infected trees. However, because of the uneven distribution of ' Liberibacter asiaticus' (Las) in an infected tree and asymptomatic infection, selecting the best leaves to sample, from a mature tree with more than 200,000 estimated leaves, is a major hurdle for timely detection.

Objectives: To evaluate the prevalence of post-operative complications and quality of life (QoL) related to sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy vs systematic lymphadenectomy in endometrial cancer.

Methods: A prospective cohort included women with early-stage endometrial carcinoma who underwent lymph node staging, grouped as follows: SLN group (sentinel lymph node only) and SLN+LND group (sentinel lymph node biopsy with addition of systematic lymphadenectomy). The patients had at least 12 months of follow-up, and QoL was assessed by European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cervical Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire 30 (EORTC-QLQ-C30) and EORTC-QLQ-Cx24.

Background: Huanglongbing (HLB, yellow shoot disease) is a highly destructive citrus disease associated with a nonculturable bacterium, " Liberibacter asiaticus" (CLas), which is transmitted by Asian citrus psyllid (ACP, ). In Mexico, HLB was first reported in Tizimin, Yucatán, in 2009 and is now endemic in 351 municipalities of 25 states. Understanding the population diversity of CLas is critical for HLB management.

Citrus Huanglongbing (HLB; yellow shoot disease) is associated with an unculturable α-proteobacterium " Liberibacter asiaticus" (CLas). HLB was found in southern California in 2012, and the current management strategy is based on suppression of the Asian citrus psyllid () that transmits CLas and removal of confirmed CLas-positive trees. Little is known about Asian citrus psyllid-associated bacteria and citrus-associated bacteria in the HLB system.

'Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus' (CLas), an α-proteobacterium, is associated with citrus Huanglongbing (HLB; yellow shoot disease). In California, two cases of CLas have been detected in Los Angeles County, one in Hacienda Heights in 2012 and the other in San Gabriel in 2015.
