Flame-Retardant Glass Fiber-Reinforced Epoxy Resins with Phosphorus-Containing Bio-Based Benzoxazines and Graphene.

This paper presents a study of the flammability and thermal decomposition products of glass fiber-reinforced epoxy resin (GFRER) with the addition of cardanol-based phosphorus-containing benzoxazine monomer (CBz) and graphene and their combinations in different proportions (up to 20 wt.%). The addition of CBz alone or in combination with graphene resulted in an increase in the limiting oxygen index (LOI) and self-extinguishing in the UL-94 HB test.

Measurement of the Isolated Nuclear Two-Photon Decay in ^{72}Ge.

The nuclear two-photon or double-gamma (2γ) decay is a second-order electromagnetic process whereby a nucleus in an excited state emits two gamma rays simultaneously. To be able to directly measure the 2γ decay rate in the low-energy regime below the electron-positron pair-creation threshold, we combined the isochronous mode of a storage ring with Schottky resonant cavities. The newly developed technique can be applied to isomers with excitation energies down to ∼100  keV and half-lives as short as ∼10  ms.

We have suggested that adipocytes in uterine scars may affect the development of the placenta accrete spectrum (PAS). In the experimental part, we explored adipocytes in the uterine wall by the twelfth sexual cycle after surgery. In the clinical part, we investigated adipocyte clusters in the cesarean scar of pregnant women with and without PAS.

Isomeric Excitation Energy for ^{99}In^{m} from Mass Spectrometry Reveals Constant Trend Next to Doubly Magic ^{100}Sn.

The excitation energy of the 1/2^{-} isomer in ^{99}In at N=50 is measured to be 671(37) keV and the mass uncertainty of the 9/2^{+} ground state is significantly reduced using the ISOLTRAP mass spectrometer at ISOLDE/CERN. The measurements exploit a major improvement in the resolution of the multireflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The results reveal an intriguing constancy of the 1/2^{-} isomer excitation energies in neutron-deficient indium that persists down to the N=50 shell closure, even when all neutrons are removed from the valence shell.

The Effect of Flame-Retardant Additives DDM-DOPO and Graphene on Flame Propagation over Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Epoxy Resin under the Influence of External Thermal Radiation.

The flammability of various materials used in industry is an important issue in the modern world. This work is devoted to the study of the effect of flame retardants, graphene and DDM-DOPO (9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide-4,4'-diamino-diphenyl methane), on the flammability of glass-fiber-reinforced epoxy resin (GFRER). Samples were made without additives and with additives of fire retardants: graphene and DDM-DOPO in various proportions.

Background: The concern of the global community of gynecologists and obstetricians (FIGO) regarding the increase in the number of caesarean sections has resulted in the creation of a new classification, Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS), which presents degrees of villus invasion into the uterine wall.

Objective: Compare the main types of atypical placentation (AP) with the stages of PAS, to supplement and unify the clinical and morphological criteria AP.

Material And Methods: Surgical material was examined from 73 women after metroplasty (=61) and hysterectomies (=12) from the regions of Russia, Moscow and the Moscow region for ingrown villi and from 10 women with a typical placenta location during the first cesarean section.

Investigation of the Technological Possibility of Manufacturing Volumetric Shaped Ductile Cast Iron Products in Open Dies.

Information about the technological possibility of stamping in open dies, round-shaped forgings made of ductile cast iron, is outlined herein. Cast iron's propensity for plastic deformation under complex loading conditions is analyzed from the standpoint of the morphology of graphite inclusions, depending on the degree and mechanical scheme of deformation. The research methodology included: the choice of a brand of cast iron with spherical graphite and the technological process of its deformation; mathematical modeling of the deformation process using the DEFORM-3D software package; stamping of an experimental batch of forgings; and microstructural studies of the forging material, together with the data of its stress-strain state and the direction of flow of the material.

The socialization effect on decision making in the Prisoner's Dilemma game: An eye-tracking study.

We used a mobile eye-tracking system (in the form of glasses) to study the characteristics of visual perception in decision making in the Prisoner's Dilemma game. In each experiment, one of the 12 participants was equipped with eye-tracking glasses. The experiment was conducted in three stages: an anonymous Individual Game stage against a randomly chosen partner (one of the 12 other participants of the experiment); a Socialization stage, in which the participants were divided into two groups; and a Group Game stage, in which the participants played with partners in the groups.

The mtDNA polymorphism in representatives of various archaeological cultures of the Developed Bronze Age, Early Scythian, and Hunnish-Sarmatian periods was analyzed (N = 34).
