Breast cancer (BC) is a prevalent malignant tumor that poses a significant health risk to women. The complexity of basic BC research and clinical treatment is influenced by multiple factors, including age, fertility, hormone metabolism, molecular subtypes, and tumor grading and staging. Traditional in vitro models often fall short of meeting modern research demands, whereas organoids-an emerging 3D primary culture technology-offer a unique platform that better replicates the tumor microenvironment (TME).

Mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mtROS) derived from mitochondrial dysfunction impair intestinal barrier function, increase gut permeability, and facilitate immune cell invasion, and, therefore, are considered to have a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of IBD. Here, we reprogrammed regulatory T cell (Treg)-derived exosomes loaded with the antioxidant trace element selenium (Se) and decorated them with the synthetic mitochondria-targeting SS-31 tetrapeptide via a peptide linker.

Nitrogen (N)-heterocycles could effectively improve their photocatalytic activity of COFs. However, the systematic exploration of photoactive nanozymes based on N-containing COFs is still lacking.

A retrospective analysis of 54 consecutive patients (2016-2023) with ICs treated by ETS was conducted. All tumors originated from the sellar region inferior to the diaphragm sellae and were classified into two subtypes in terms of diaphragm sellae competence: IC with competent diaphragm sellae (IC-CDS) and IC with incompetent diaphragm sellae (IC-IDS).

However, it is not completely clear that how GSDMB, abundantly expressed in epithelial cells of gastrointestinal tract, regulates the tumorigenesis of CRC. A wealth of evidence linking GSDMB to the pathogenesis of cancer has come from genome-wide association studies.

Here WES was performed to characterize genomic landscape of adult-type diffuse gliomas to discover the diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic biomarkers.

Hypoxia can be involved in HCC tumor growth, invasion and metastasis through inducing angiogenesis. Nevertheless, the assessment of the impact of hypoxia and angiogenesis on the prognosis of HCC remains inadequate.

Here, we provide evidence that itaconate and its cell-permeable derivative 4-octyl itaconate (4-OI) can significantly inhibit GSDMB-rendered pyroptotic activity independent of Nrf2. 4-OI interferes proteolytic process of GSDMB by directly modifying Cys54, Cys148 and Ser212 on granzyme A (GrzA), a serine protease that site-specifically cleaves the inter-domain linker of GSDMB, instead of interaction with GSDMB, thereby blocking pyroptosis and exerts anti-inflammatory effects.

Methods: We enrolled patients with lesions in the sellar region and age-matched general population who were confirmed with IA from two hospitals. Four types of treatment strategies were performed, which included Type I (both IA and PA were treated with surgery), Type II (IA was treated with surgery and PA was performed by non-surgical treatment), Type III (PA was performed with surgery and observation was available for IA) and Type IV (both IA and PA were performed with non-surgical treatment).
While flow-through anodic oxidation (FTAO) technique has demonstrated high efficiency to treat various refractory waste streams, there is an increasing concern on the secondary hazard generation thereby. In this study, we developed an integrated system that couples FTAO and cathodic reduction processes (termed FTAO-CR) for sustainable treatment of chlorine-laden industrial wastewater. Among four common electrode materials (i.

This study aims to elucidate whether chronotherapy with rosiglitazone (RSG) can regulate the secretion rhythm of macrophages, thereby controlling the phenotypic switch of VSMCs and clarifying the potential molecular mechanisms, providing a chronotherapeutic approach for the treatment of vascular diseases.

This Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis aims to investigate the causal relationship between type 1 diabetes (T1D) and osteoporosis (OP). Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with T1D were selected from the summary statistics of the genome-wide association study (GWAS) in European ancestry as instrumental variables (IVs) for univariable MR (UVMR) to explore the causal relationship between T1D and OP. Inverse variance weighting (IVW) was the primary method used to assess possible causality between T1D and OP.

Nevertheless, it is susceptible to spoilage and the persistence of pathogens. Electron beam irradiation stands as a promising non-thermal processing technique capable of prolonging shelf life with minimal residue and a high degree of automation.

In this study, two products were compared using a panel of analytical methods.

Case Presentation: We reported a case of mechanical thrombectomy through PTA in a patient who presented with sudden slurred speech and had a National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of 12. Digital subtraction angiography of the cerebral vasculature showed PTA formation in the right internal carotid artery cavernous segment, with acute occlusion of the distal basilar artery at the PTA junction, and bilateral vertebral arteries and proximal basilar artery were underdeveloped.
Background: Apatinib, a novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor independently developed by China, has been widely used in the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in recent years. For more than a decade, sorafenib has been the classic first-line treatment option for patients with advanced HCC. However, the results of clinical studies comparing the efficacy and safety of these 2 drugs are still controversial.

Herein, we present a direct method employing fully resolved isotopic envelopes, enabled by high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), to identify and quantify isobaric impurity ions resulting from the deletion or addition of a uracil (U) or cytosine (C) nucleotide from or to the full-length sequence. These impurities may each encompass multiple sequence variants arising from various deletion or addition sites.

This Letter proposes a novel, to the best of our knowledge, method that employs deep neural networks to enhance multi-target 3D reconstruction, making a significant advancement in the field. By constructing the relationship between targets' blur, distance, and clarity, the proposed method provides accurate spatial information while mitigating inaccuracies arising from the continuous model.
