We aimed to examine anxiety and depression levels of people with CF (pwCF) and their caregivers according to their access to modulator treatment.
Methods: Participants genetically eligible for elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor (ETI) were divided into Group 1 (access via court decision, not yet on treatment) and Group 2 (unable to access due to reimbursement issues).
Objectives: Our study is centered around a pivotal question: How does the increase in adipose tissue, which defines obesity, impact hemorheological parameters? By delving into this question, we aim to underscore the crucial role of fat tissue increase in obesity, a topic of significant interest and importance in the field of physiology and obesity research.
Methods: Individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 and above were included in this study. Height was measured with bare feet on flat surface, then, using the bioimpedance device (Tanita-BC418), weight, BMI, fat percentage, fat mass (FM), and fat-free mass were determined.
Agricultural and food supply chains in the United States are essential for both global and local food security, yet the transportation of agri-food commodities has received little attention despite being an essential feature for connecting production to consumption. Here we map the US agri-food distribution onto real-world highways, railways and waterways and also quantify the trade-offs between cost, path redundancy and carbon emissions of agri-food transit across transportation modes. Highways show the greatest path redundancy; relative to waterways, highways also cost 3 orders of magnitude more and emit 60 times more carbon.

This study aims to compare the outcomes of conventional versus sutureless repair techniques in Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage.
Methods: In this retrospective single-centre analysis (2012-2022), we evaluated children who underwent conventional or sutureless repair for isolated total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage, excluding complex cardiac anomalies and incomplete data.
Aim: Co-existing primary aldosteronism (PA) and autonomous cortisol secretion (ACS) has been recently recognized as a distinct entity. This study aimed to assess the incidence of ACS in patients with PA, and its impact on clinical and laboratory parameters.
Methods: Ninety-two patients diagnosed with PA were included.
Purpose: Adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) are reported to be at higher risk for clinical eating disorders (ED) and other disordered eating behaviors (DEB) than their peers without diabetes. On the other hand, there is insufficient data on DEB in adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Our study aimed to investigate the prevalence of DEB in patients with T1D and T2D on intensive insulin therapy followed in our outpatient clinic.

Objectives: The study was conducted to investigate the effect of swing on stress and comfort in premature newborns who could not be reunited with their mothers.
Methods: The study was conducted in a randomised controlled experimental design. The intervention group included newborns who received swing intervention (n = 64) and the control group included newborns who did not receive swing intervention (n = 64).
This study aimed to investigate the impact of early childhood chronic stress on the development of the brain extracellular matrix (ECM) and how alterations in the ECM following early-life adversity (ELA) affect auditory learning and cognitive flexibility. ELA was induced through a combination of maternal separation and neonatal isolation in male Sprague-Dawley rats, and the success of the ELA model was assessed behaviorally and biochemically. A cortex-dependent go/no-go task with two phases was used to determine the impact of ELA on auditory learning and cognitive flexibility.

Methods: Between October 2021 and December 2022, 99 patients who applied to the urology polyclinic with a complaint of ED were included in the study (Group 1). Fifty-two patients who applied with a complaint other than ED constituted the control group (Group 2).
Purpose: Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a severe, progressive condition characterized by muscle degeneration and weakness, significantly affecting respiratory function. This study aimed to evaluate the presence of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) in children with DMD and investigate the relationships between sleep and respiratory function using spirometry, sniff nasal inspiratory pressure (SNIP), and polysomnography (PSG) along with capnography.
Research Question: Can low SNIP be a guide for detecting respiratory muscle involvement early and determining the right time to perform early PSG and capnography in DMD?
Study Design: Prospective, observational, cross-sectional study.
Background: Kinase-impaired class III BRAF mutations have recently received attention as a possible prognostic factor and therapeutic target. Class III BRAF variants differ from class I and class II mutations in terms of mechanism of pathway activation and therapeutic vulnerabilities. Genomic landscape analyses of tumors in large real-world cohorts represent a great opportunity to further characterize tumor-related molecular events and treatment vulnerabilities, however, such data is not yet available for tumors with BRAF class III mutations.
