Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the protective or therapeutic effect of thymoquinone (TQ) in a retinal degeneration rat model and its relationships with the retina ultrastructure, heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1), caspase-3, and RPE65 expressions and to determine whether TQ has a therapeutic effect at the biochemical level.
Methods: A total of 25 adult Wistar albino rats were divided into the following treatment groups: saline (control: CONT), CO (corn oil), sodium iodate (SI), TQ + SI, and SI + TQ injection groups. Retina morphology, RPE65, HO-1, and caspase-3 expression levels were evaluated using immunohistochemistry, and optical density was determined using ImageJ.
The objective of this study to examine the effects of curcumin and gallic acid use against oxidative stress damage in the autologous intraperitoneal ovarian transplantation model created in rats on ovarian follicle reserve, ovarian surface epithelium, and oxidant-antioxidant systems. 42 adult female Sprague Dawley rats (n=7) were allocated into 6 groups. Group 1 served as the control.

Material & Methods: Female Sprague Dawley rats were divided into 7 experimental groups as follows; CONT (Control), CIS, MEL, RES, POF + MEL, POF + RES, and POF + MEL + RES. H&E staining was performed to evaluate follicular cell vacuolization/degeneration, vascular congestion/hemorrhage, and inflammation, by using an ordinal scale from 0 to 4 to grade the severity of observed changes (0 = normal, 1 = mild, 2 = moderate, 3 = severe, 4 = very severe).
Psoriasis is an immune cell-dependent chronic autoimmune skin disorder. Interleukin 37 (IL-37) is a cytokine belonging to the IL-1 family that shows anti-inflammatory and protective effects in various mouse models of psoriasis. Even though various animal models are used to investigate the pathogenic mechanisms of psoriasis, human clinical studies are still needed to make up for the deficiencies, as animal models generally do not exhibit the complex phenotypic features of human psoriasis.

The study aimed to investigate how these antioxidants influence various aspects related to transplantation outcomes, including oxidative stress markers, the preservation of follicle reserves, and the condition of the surface epithelium. A total of 20 adult female Wistar Albino rats were included in the study and randomly assigned to four different groups.

Twenty-four Wistar female rats were divided into 4 experimental groups: Group 1 (G1, Control), Group 2 (G2, PCOS), Group 3 (G3, PCOS + 50 mg/kg propolis), and Group 4 (G4, PCOS + 150 mg/kg propolis). The PCOS model was induced via the administration of letrozole for 21 days.

Thirty adult female Wistar Albino were selected and randomly divided into six groups (n = 5). Group 1, which was the control group, only had their abdomens opened and closed while Group 2 underwent ovarian transplantation.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been shown to have a significant impact on the differentiation, maturation and function of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs). Our aim in the present study is firstly to investigate differentially expressed miRNA levels to be used as a biomarker in the early detection of PE and secondly to investigate whether those differentially expressed miRNAs in hDMSCs have an effect on the pathogenesis of PE.
