In this work, we consider the waveform design for radar systems based on orthogonal time-frequency space (OTFS). The conditional mutual information (CMI), chosen as a promising metric for assessing the radar cognitive capability, serves as the criterion for OTFS waveform design. After formulating the OTFS waveform design problem based on maximizing CMI, we propose an equivalent waveform processing approach by minimizing the autocorrelation sidelobes and cross-correlations (ASaCC) of the OTFS transmitting matrix.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between blood trihalomethane (THM) exposure and the risk of dyslipidemia from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005-2018.

We aimed to access the causal relationships in which one or more gut microbiota account for dementia. : Using data from the MiBioGen and FinnGen consortia, we employed multiple Mendelian randomization (MR) approaches including two-sample MR (TSMR), multivariable MR (MVMR), and Bayesian model averaging MR to comprehensively evaluate the causal associations between 119 genera and dementia, and to prioritize the predominant bacterium.

This study aimed to explore the maturation of the immune system in piglets across different age groups and their corresponding immune responses to PEDV infection. Real-time quantitative PCR was employed to assess the relative mRNA expression of inflammation-related factors in infected pigs compared to non-infected counterparts at varying ages.

We assessed the causal association of circulating metabolites with dementia utilizing Mendelian randomization (MR) methods. We performed univariable MR analysis to evaluate the associations of 486 metabolites with dementia, Alzheimer's disease (AD), and vascular dementia (VaD) risk.

Results: This was the first survey-based study of Chinese donkeys.
Kirkovirus (kirV), a seemingly novel virus family, has been found in horses and donkeys. The study's objectives are to investigate the presence of the virus in swine. In this study, donkey-like kirV was detected in rectal swabs of piglets with diarrhea, and the positive rate was found to be 100% (149/149).

No reports to date have detailed the association between EqAHV-1 and respiratory disease among horses in China. This study described one such outbreak among a population of horses in north Xinjiang that occurred from April 2021 - May 2023.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the association between whole grain intake and risk of CKD in Chinese adults.
Methods: The present cross-sectional study used data from the China Health and Nutrition Survey conducted in 2009.
Nine different species of Equus caballus papillomavirus (EcPV) and three bovine papillomaviruses (BPVs) have been reported to infect horses. However, there are few descriptions of such infections in China. In our pioneer study on Chinese horses, we identified EcPV-2 in the nasal swabs (4/230, 1.

However, so far, relatively little information is available on EHV-1 infections as they occur in China. In January 2021, during an abortion storm which occurred in Yili horses at the Chinese State Studs of Zhaosu (North Xinjiang, China), 43 out of 800 pregnant mares aborted.

Chronic hyperglycemia is the basic feature of diabetes, which can cause long-term damage to eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, and blood vessels, resulting in functional decline or even failure. Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) can be used as an indicator of an individual's blood sugar status over the past 3 months; however, it is slightly affected by ischemic anemia.

Methods: A total of 78 patients with DLBCL admitted to hospital and 30 healthy controls were enrolled as the case group and control group between August 2019 and June 2020, respectively. The ALC/AMC ratio and the levels of sIL-2R and serum PD-1 between the 2 groups and among patients with different prognoses were compared.
Multiple novel circular replication-associated protein (Rep)-encoding single stranded (CRESS) DNA viruses have been extensively identified in the feces of humans and animals. Here, we first detected CRESS DNA virus (named Horse-CRESS DNA-like virus, HCLV) in two fecal samples from 10 imported thoroughbred (TB) horses in the customs quarantine station in North Xinjiang province, China. Additionally, we found that this virus was not detected in local breeds (LBs) (0/41) and was found only in imported TB horses (2/73).

Hyaluronic acid injection is becoming a popular way for penile augmentation. However, only few studies and follow-ups have investigated the various complications of hyaluronic acid injection and their corresponding management. In this study, a total of 230 patients who had penile augmentation with hyaluronic acid injection from January 2018 to December 2019 were examined on follow-up for penile girth, complications, and their corresponding management.

In recent years, nursing has come to be considered a high-risk and high-pressure profession, given the fast-paced working environment and constant need to handle emergencies, especially for nurses working in hemodialysis centers. Nearly every day, nurses are confronted with life and death situations and are required to provide skilled, high quality care for their patients, in fast-paced and demanding environments. Thus, nurses are susceptible to both psychological stress and other mental health problems, making them more vulnerable to burnout when compared against other healthcare professions.

In our study, an EqPV-CSF-like virus was detected from 15 serum samples of 65 imported thoroughbred horses during custom quarantine in north Xinjiang province, China. Further field investigation in several major horse-producing areas in Xinjiang using specific PCR showed that this virus was detected mainly in thoroughbred horses (39/154 positive) previously imported, not in local breeds (0/127 positive).
