Hypoxia is a critical feature of solid tumors and exerts crucial roles in cancers, including breast cancer. However, the detailed relationship between lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA triple network and hypoxia in breast cancer is still indistinct. In this study, a series of analyses and online databases or tools were employed to establish a hypoxia-related lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA network in breast cancer based on competing endogenous RNA mechanism at single-cell resolution.

Therefore, the 2 main aims of our study were to establish a reliable CAFs prognostic gene signature that can be used to stratify patients with LUSC and to identify promising potential targets for more effective and individualized therapies. Clinical information and mRNA expression were accessed of the cancer genome atlas-LUSC cohort (n = 501) and GSE157011 cohort (n = 484).

We elucidated the role of extravesicular tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP1) in pro-invasive extracellular matrix (ECM) remodelling of the liver microenvironment to aid tumour progression in colorectal cancer (CRC). Immunohistochemistry analysis revealed a high expression of stromal TIMP1 in the invasion front that was associated with poor progression-free survival in patients with colorectal liver metastases.

The influence of the tumour microenvironment on liquid biopsies for early cancer diagnostics are gaining growing interest, especially with emphasis on exosomes (EXO), a subgroup of extracellular vesicles (EVs). In this study, we established paired cancer-associated (CAFs) and normal fibroblasts (NF) from 13 CRC patients and investigated activation status-related protein abundance in derived EXOs.

A panel of lncRNAs ( and ) derived from serum exosomes of patients with non-metastatic CRC and healthy donors was analyzed. Exosomes from healthy donors carried significantly more and transcripts in comparison to CRC patients.

The cargo of exosomes is cell origin specific and the release of these exosomes and uptake by an acceptor cell is seen as a vital element of cell-cell communication. Here, we sought to investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of the expression of glypican 3 () on primary gastro-esophageal adenocarcinoma (GEA) tissue () and corresponding serum exosomes ().

In this study, upregulation of miR-27a was validated by real-time PCR analysis in breast cancer (BC) cell lines and samples of BC patients. A negative correlation between miR-27a and bak was also observed in normal breast epithelial cell line MCF-10A and BC cell lines, suggesting that the bak is the potential target of miR-27a.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the risk factors associated with CLNM in clinical lateral cervical lymph node-negative (cN0) PTMC in Eastern China. A total of 392 patients with confirmed PTMC by histological examination who underwent thyroidectomy and central neck lymph node dissection (CND) between May 2011 and October 2012 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University (Wenzhou, China) were enrolled.

This study evaluated the clinical differences, conventional sonographic findings, elastographic findings, and cytologic findings for predicting thyroid malignancy.
Methods: A total of 167 patients with a nondiagnostic or indeterminate thyroid fine-needle aspiration cytologic findings were enrolled in this study.
Background: miRNA-154 (miR-154) has been identified as a tumor suppressor in several types of human cancers. However, its clinical significance in colorectal cancer (CRC) is still unclear. The aim of this study was to analyze the association of miR-154 expression with clinicopathologic features and prognosis in CRC patients.

Materials And Methods: A total of 176 patients with confirmed PTMC by final histological examination who underwent central lymph node dissection (LND) and lateral LND were enrolled in our study.
Background: This study analyzed the utility of BRAF mutation screening of ultrasonography-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) specimens for predicting aggressive clinicopathological characteristics of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC).
Methods: We assessed the T1799A BRAF mutation status in FNAB specimens obtained from 61 PTMC patients before undergoing operations for PTMC. We examined whether the BRAF mutation was associated with clinicopathologic characteristics in PTMC.
