Curcumin (CUR) is highly promising for topical therapeutic applications, but water-insolubility is one of the major challenges plaguing its drugability, while conventional lipid nanocarriers are limited by low drug-carrying capacity, many additives, and complex processes. In the current work, we constructed a composite carrier integrated with cyclodextrin metal-organic framework (γ-CD-MOF) and cyclodextrin nanosponge (β-CDNS), in which the γ-CD-MOF had 13.9 % drug loading and 267.

Central vein stenosis (CVS) is a common vascular complication in undergoing hemodialysis, especially those with a history of catheterization. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of CVS and the clinical effectiveness of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) alone and sequential percutaneous transluminal stenting (PTS) in hemodialysis patients with CVS.

Objective: Goal to investigate the possible causal association between hypothyroidism and unfavorable pregnancy outcomes through the use of bioinformatics and Mendelian randomization (MR).
Methods: We used Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses using single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites as instrumental variables to infer causal associations between exposures and outcomes.

Traumatic Renal Artery Thrombosis (TRAT) is an uncommon condition characterized by a low clinical incidence and a lack of specific symptoms, making it highly susceptible to being overlooked or misdiagnosed. This retrospective analysis aims to review the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches applied to a TRAT patient who received successful treatment in the Emergency Medicine Department of the First People's Hospital of Kunshan. The objective is to enhance clinicians' comprehension of TRAT, promote early diagnosis and intervention, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the role of the waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) in assessing insulin resistance (IR) in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Materials And Methods: We enrolled 882 PCOS-afflicted women in a cross-sectional analysis to evaluate the association of the WHtR with IR. Their demographic characteristics, anthropometric parameters, and fasting blood samples were collected and measured.
Anaerobic digestion is a sustainable technology for methane (CH) production from organic waste and wastewater. However, its performance is frequently hindered by excessive acidification in readily acidified substrates, such as starch wastewater. Oyster shell (OS), a natural alkaline material, effectively regulates pH and enhances CH production.

Identifying distinct patient phenotypes based on post-ablation prognosis could improve patient selection for additional therapies and optimize treatment strategies.
Methods: We studied all patients who underwent catheter ablation of persistent atrial fibrillation in the DECAAF II trial.
Offspring of women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) face an increased risk of long-term neurodevelopmental abnormalities. This study explores the altered expression of key placental fatty acid transport proteins-FATP2, FATP4, FATP6, FABP4, and FAT/CD36-in GDM patients, and the potential of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) to mitigate neurodevelopmental risks in offspring by enhancing their expression through activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPAR-γ). Our findings demonstrate that placental FATP4 expression is reduced in GDM patients.

In this study, we present a novel RNA-targeted small molecule screening approach using a specialized DNA-encoded library (DEL). Our findings reveal that the specialized DEL library, called "DEL Zipper", can significantly reduce single-stranded DNA-RNA region interaction signals during various kinds of RNA selection.

The heart is a major target organ in many autoimmune conditions and can sustain functional and structural impairments, potentially leading to irreversible cardiac damage. There is mounting clinical evidence pointing to a link between autoimmune disease and cardiac damage.

We utilized the brainstem as a seed region for probabilistic tractography based on multishell, multitissue constrained spherical deconvolution in 40 subjects from the Human Connectome Project (HCP). All tractography data were registered into a common space to construct a brainstem fiber cluster atlas.

This study aimed to explore the relationship between serum VD concentration, dietary VD intake, and SII using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
Methods: Data from NHANES 2007-2018 and NHANES 2007-2020 were analyzed for serum VD levels and dietary VD intake, respectively.
Background: Evidence of the association between sleep duration, depressive symptoms, and mortality in cancer survivors is limited.
Methods: 2,111 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys were involved and linked to a mortality database up to 31 December 2019. Sleep duration was self-reported at baseline.
Background: Different species of sea cucumbers in various regions have diverse preferred habitats and feeding habits. However, detailed research on the correlation between food selection and habitat preference of sea cucumbers, as well as their adaptive adjustments to specific habitat types, is still lacking.
Methods: A field study was carried out to explore the relationship between food selection and habitat preference, as well as the adaptation process, of the tropical sea cucumber Stichopus chloronotus, which has specific food preferences.
Hepatitis B is a viral infection of the liver caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). Entecavir (ETV) is considered the primary therapeutic option for HBV treatment, primarily functioning by inhibiting HBV replication. Ubiquitin-specific peptidase 7 (USP7), a deubiquitinating enzyme, plays a crucial role in regulating DNA repair mechanisms.

A prominent challenge within this domain has been the task of predicting enzyme function, a complex problem that has seen the development of numerous computational methods, particularly those rooted in deep learning techniques. However, the majority of these methods have primarily focused on either amino acid sequence data or protein structure data, neglecting the potential synergy of combining both modalities.

To address this challenge, we propose a novel imputation model called CPARI, which combines cell partitioning with our designed absolute and relative imputation methods. Initially, CPARI employs a new approach to select highly variable genes and constructs an average consensus matrix using C-mean fuzzy clustering-based blockchain technology to obtain results at different resolutions.
