Methods: The Bacteroides and Parabacteroides isolates analysed were obtained from patients hospitalised at teaching hospitals in Poland. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed by Etest and the results were interpreted according to European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) guidelines.

The obtained results were correlated with the susceptibility of the strains to gentamicin, tobramicin, kanamicin, neomicin, amikacin and netilmicin.
