- A study analyzed 559 hip replacement procedures, comparing the Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) to the Posterolateral Approach (PLA) over different timeframes, focusing on the duration of each procedure.
- Results showed that the DAA significantly reduced operating time for cementless total arthroplasties (51.9 min vs. 78.3 min for PLA), while the times for cementless hemi-arthroplasty were similar between both approaches, indicating potential benefits of DAA for certain patients.
