: Early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a very important factor for improving the quality of life of people on the spectrum, but it still remains a major problem in Europe, especially concerning girls. In this study, we tried to answer the question of what factors affect the age of diagnosis in Poland. Additionally, we tried to establish the time between the first visit to the mental health center (MHC) and the diagnosis in this population, and what factors affect its length.

Scaling-Up for the Counter-Rotating Twin Screw Extrusion of Polymers.

A novel and original computer scaling-up system for the counter-rotating twin screw extrusion of polymers was developed. In the system, each scaling parameter (scaling criterion) may be considered as an objective function to be minimized for the single parameters or the functional relationships along the length of the screw. Scaling was based on the process simulation, which was performed using the comprehensive (or global) counter-rotating twin screw extrusion program called TSEM (Twin Screw Extrusion Model).
