Mechanical alloying allows obtaining nonequilibrium structures in various systems, often possessing unique properties, including magnetic ones. Considering the unusual structural features of the magnetostrictive Fe-Ga alloy, this approach may be promising for this system. This article focuses on the eco-friendly (green) synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and their incorporation into a polymer matrix. For AgNPs synthesis, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) leaf extract was used as a reducing and stabilizing agent, and as a silver precursor, AgNO solution with different concentrations of silver (50, 100, 250, and 500 mg/L) was used. Prepared AgNPs colloids were characterized using UV-vis spectrophotometry, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD).

In situ X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy has been used to investigate René 108 Ni-based superalloy after short-term annealing at high-homologous temperatures. Current work is focused on characterisation of γ' precipitates, their volume fraction, evolution of the lattice parameter of γ and γ' phases and misfit parameter of γ' in the matrix. Material in the initial condition is characterised by a high-volume fraction (over 63%) of γ' precipitates.
