We studied changes of microarchitectonics of lymph nodes in mature rabbits in response to introduction of bioimplants based on porous titanium with carbon-containing nanocoating or nanocoating with hydroxyapatite embedded into pores. Moderate local reactivity of the lymphoid system was observed in animals with implants coated with carbon-containing films within 30 days after surgery. In animals with nanocoated implants containing hydroxyapatite, the immune response was more pronounced.

The paper gives the results of a histological study of 21 liver biopsy specimens from babies of the first year of life, who had clinical manifestations of neonatal hepatitis with cholestasis syndrome. The major morphological variants of hepatic lesion, such as giant-cell hepatitis, chronic active hepatitis, congenital cystic fibrosis with extensive intrahepatic cholestasis and a high hepatic inflammatory-necrotic activity have been found to result in the early development of severe hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis, which is of great prognostic value. It is necessary to enhance the efficiency of a histological assessment of an etiological factor in the hepatic biopsy specimen in order to optimize treatment for liver diseases in this category of patients.

The effect of recombinant G-CSF (50 mg/day for 3 days) on reparative osteogenesis in rats was studied on the model of induced osteogenesis after resection of a tibial fragment resection. Reparative processes in the bone tissue were estimated by histological picture and activity of serum alkaline phosphatase. The conclusion is made that G-CSF inhibits reparative osteogenesis.

The purpose of the investigation was to study whether there was a correlation between the laboratory parameters and the pathomorphological pattern of a liver biopsy specimen in chronic viral hepatitis C. Analysis of the results of studies (general clinical blood analysis, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase, gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase, serum immunoglobulins, and a study of liver biopsy specimens) led to the conclusion that there was a correlation between the level of the enzymes and the histological liver tissue sclerosis index. There was no correlation with the histological activity index.
