A number of polyfluro-3,6-dihydro-2H-1,3,5-oxadiazines and polyfluoro-4H-1,3,5-oxadiazines was designed. Relationship between their chemical structure and in vitro activity was investigated. The highest activity against grampositive microorganisms was shown by N1,N6-bis-[2,2,6,6-tetrakis(trifluoromethyl)-3,6-dihydro-2H-1,3,5-oxadiazine-4-yl]-1,6-hexane diamine.

Schemes of the active compounds synthesis are given. The most important is the estimation of the oxydiazines activity against gram-positive microorganisms including methicillin-resistant staphylococci.

The levels of hemagglutinating antibodies to measles, smallpox, influenza viruses and of complement-fixing antibody to lymphocytic choriomeningitis, Takaribe, Amapari viruses were studied, in the blood sera of 77 schizophrenics and 44 normal donors. The investigation revealed definite differences. The schizophrenic patients had a statistically significant elevation in the titres of anti-smallpox antibodies.

Labeled 35S-taurocholic acid synthesis was studied in dogs with gall bladder fistulae, fed high cholesterol diet. During the first period (1--2 months) dietary cholesterol caused a significant increase in the 35S-taurocholic acid synthesis. In 5--6 months, at the period of development of the pathological process in the liver, there was a decrease of synthesis and secretion of bile acids, and of cholesterol sediment in the bile.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA long-term administration of retinol in a dose exceeding 15-fold the diurnal requirement to rats weighing 170-200 g provoked a diminution of the erythrocytes resistance to an acid hemolytic, an intensified uptake of glucose, and increased activity of glycolytic enzymes (hexokinase, aldolase, phosphohexoisomerase), accumulation of lactate, along with changes in the redox enzymes activity, suppression of the catalase and intensification of peroxidase activity. The content of microergic nucleotides and electrolites (Na+ and K+) remained unchanged.
