We assessed the predictive value of an image analysis-based tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) score for pathologic complete response (pCR) and event-free survival in breast cancer (BC). About 113 pretreatment samples were analyzed from patients with stage IIB-IIIC HER-2-negative BC randomized to neoadjuvant chemotherapy ± bevacizumab. TILs quantification was performed on full sections using QuPath open-source software with a convolutional neural network cell classifier (CNN11).

Purpose: Isocitrate dehydrogenase () and mutations (mt) are frequent in glioma. Preclinical studies suggest mts confer "BRCAness" phenotype, a vulnerability that can be targeted through PARP inhibition. To test this hypothesis, we conducted a multicenter study of olaparib monotherapy in patients with mt gliomas.

Purpose: The utilization of the hospitalist care model has increased over the past decade because of improved cost-effectiveness, quality of care, and value that it provides. Studies have shown that compared with the traditional care model, use of hospitalists provides cost-saving and improved value to hospital systems. However, the data for the use of oncology hospitalists (ONC Hosp) are sparse.

Differences in the tumor immune microenvironment may result in differences in prognosis and response to treatment in cancer patients. We hypothesized that differences in the tumor immune microenvironment may exist between African American (AA) and NonAA patients, due to ancestry-related or socioeconomic factors, that may partially explain differences in clinical outcomes. We analyzed clinically matched triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) tissues from self-identified AA and NonAA patients and found that stromal TILs, PD-L1 IHC-positivity, mRNA expression of immune-related pathways, and immunotherapy response predictive signatures were significantly higher in AA samples (p < 0.

Introduction: Lexico-semantic disturbances are considered central to schizophrenia. Clinically, their clearest manifestation is in language production. However, most studies probing their underlying mechanisms have used comprehension or categorization tasks.

Background: Lower socioeconomic status is associated with poorer overall health outcomes. However, few studies have examined the impact of socioeconomic status on psoriasis.

Objective: To examine the impact of individual socioeconomic status on systemic therapeutic outcomes amongst psoriasis patients.

Background: Additional studies are needed to examine the efficacy of ustekinumab in psoriasis patients who have previously been exposed to tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi).

Objective: To examine the predictive effect of TNFi primary failure and the number of TNFi exposures on the efficacy of ustekinumab in psoriasis treatment.

Methods: This retrospective study examined 44 psoriasis patients treated at the Tufts Medical Center Department of Dermatology between January 2008 and July 2014.
