The aim of this study was to report the endodontic management of right maxillary central incisor having two canals with type IV Vertucci canal configuration. Internal morphology of root canals is variable and often complex. Therefore, to achieve a technically satisfactory endodontic outcome, the clinician must have adequate knowledge of the internal canal morphology and its variations in order to debride and obturate the root canal system thoroughly.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Withania somnifera root extract (Ws)/Ashwagandha/Indian ginseng is a traditional herbal medicine, used over 4000 years in India, shown to have effect on neural growth and locomotor function. Although catecholamines and oxidative stress resulting in neurodegeneration and locomotor disorder are the main events in Parkinson's disease (PD), efficacy of the drug on these molecules and physiological abnormality are not clear.

We studied the influence of Withania somnifera (Ws) root extract (100 mg/kg body weight) on parkinsonism induced by 1-methyl 4-phenyl 1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP; i.p, 20 mg/kg body weight for 4 days), via the analysis of behavioral features and the oxidant-antioxidant imbalance in the midbrain of mice. A significant alteration in behavior, increased levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS), and increased activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) were noticed in this region of brain in MPTP-treated mice.

Anastomosis of the superficial radial nerve, the dorsal cutaneous branch of the ulnar nerve, or both to the distal cut end of a widely resected median nerve in monkeys was followed by successful sensory reinnervation of the thumb, index finger, and long finger within thiry-five to forty weeks. Success was ascertained by the presence of an intact anastomosis as observed grossly without any evidence of spontaneous regeneration of the median nerve. Reinnervation was confirmed by histological and histochemical reactions observed in the Meissner's corpuscles in the skin innervated by the median nerve.

Microelectrode mapping methods and strategies were developed to map fine details of the somatotopic organization of somatic sensory cortex (SI) in slow loris. In-depth, multiple-unit recording, and threshold natural stimulation of skin and hari revealed three modality-specific cortical areas. The centrally located one was activated by extremely light touch and the somatopic organization of peripheral projections to it was mapped in detail.

Regeneration of the nasopharyngeal epithelium in Macaca fascicularis occurs as a result of migration of epithelial cells from the margins of the lesions as well as from the neighbouring glandular ducts and epithelial crypts. The study further reveals that the basal cells are the progenitors of both goblet and ciliated cells. The regenerating epithelium at first consists of mucus-containing cells which are finally converted into normal globlet and ciliated cells.
