The fabrication of bespoke artificial defects on bearing raceways helps in mimicking incipient faults during real application or for directly validating the diagnostic technology depending on their shapes and sizes. This is particularly useful when run-to-failure experiments are time-consuming and even difficult in some cases. This paper presents fabrication of complex surficial micro-features employing a cross-innovative hybrid process inspired from lithography and Jet-ECM.
