As a result of incorrect communicaton between the dentist and his assistant, the injection of hydrogen peroxide during an infiltration anesthesia for a vital extirpation rsulted in temporary injury. A law suit for negligence could be avoided because of the patient's understanding attitude. The legal situtation related to this sort of incident was discussed.

Assessment of X-ray pictures by the right-angle technique shows that it is not sufficient simply to restore the carious lesion by filling. It is also necessary to stimulate regeneration of the damaged retaining apparatus of the tooth by curettage. It appears advisable to employ radiological control of the approximal carious defect before the beginning of treatment.
