TrkB and TrkC are quite common neurotrophin receptors found on the same cells in CNS. In the C-terminal tail, TrkB and TrkC differ only in two amino acid residues at positions immediately preceding the tyrosine residue, which, upon phosphorylation, becomes the docking site for phospholipase Cγ1 (PLCγ1). Background: The newest method of treatment for patients with NSCLC (non-small cell lung cancer) is immunotherapy directed at the immune checkpoints PD-1 (Programmed Cell Death 1) and PD-L1 (Programmed Cell Death Ligand 1). There are multiple methods for studying deadenylation, either in vitro or in vivo, which allow for observation of mRNA abundance or poly(A) tail dynamics. However, direct RNA sequencing using the Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) platform makes it possible to conduct transcriptome-wide analyses at the single-molecule level without the PCR bias introduced by other methods.
