Background: Traumatic dental injuries (TDIs) in early childhood exert a negative impact on the quality of life of children and their families. However, there is no evidence from cohort studies on which to base prevention strategies at the beginning of life, when children are entirely dependent upon supervision. The choice of recombinase enzyme is a critical parameter to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy of the integration event. A search for the exclusive hadronic decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ, and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ is performed using up to 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13 TeV. If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a nutritional counseling program for mothers of newborns to prevent sugar consumption in the first year of life on the occurrence of early childhood caries (ECC).
Methods: A multicentric randomized clinical trial (ClinicalTrials.gov - NCT03841123) was conducted in three state capitals of Brazil (n = 516).
Greater perceived physical fatigability and lower skeletal muscle energetics are both predictors of mobility decline. Characterizing associations between muscle energetics and perceived fatigability may provide insight into potential targets to prevent mobility decline. We examined associations of in vivo (maximal ATP production, ATPmax) and ex vivo (maximal carbohydrate supported oxidative phosphorylation [max OXPHOS] and maximal fatty acid supported OXPHOS [max FAO OXPHOS]) measures of mitochondrial energetics with two measures of perceived physical fatigability, Pittsburgh Fatigability Scale (PFS, 0-50, higher = greater) and Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE Fatigability, 6-20, higher = greater) after a slow treadmill walk.

We study the stochastic hydrodynamics of colonies of flagellated swimming cells, typified by multicellular choanoflagellates, which can form both rosette and chainlike shapes. The objective is to link cell-scale dynamics to colony-scale dynamics for various colonial morphologies. Via autoregressive stochastic models for the cycle-averaged flagellar force dynamics and statistical models for demographic cell-to-cell variability in flagellar properties and placement, we derive effective transport properties of the colonies, including cell-to-cell variability.

The MSWs contain a central hub, six spokes, and a rim that is formed by a sixfold Yamamoto coupling of the respective non-cyclized dodecabromo precursor yielding MSWs with up to 30 phenylene rings in the perimeter. Attempts to prepare compounds of such size without flexible side groups at the spokes were unsuccessful, most probably due to an aggregation and accompanying oligomerization of the precursors during the cyclization.
