In this study, we developed an osteoplastic material based on collagen-fibronectin hydrogel impregnated with siRNA molecules targeting glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK3β), which inhibits the osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells. The hydrogel impregnated with polyplexes containing siRNA GSK3β and polyethylenimine has been shown to have no cytotoxic effect: there was no statistically significant change in the cell's viability after 7 days of incubation in its presence compared to the control group. On days 2 and 7, an increase in the level of expression of markers of osteogenic differentiation was observed, which confirms the osteoinductive qualities of the material.

An important task that arises for engineering such materials is the simulation of physical and morphological properties of tissues, which must be restored or replaced. Modern additive technologies, including 3D bioprinting, can be applied to successfully solve this task.

The dynamics of the infection development was studied on rabbits by the microbiological, cytochemical, biochemical and cytomorphologic criteria. The efficacy of monoantibacterial and complex schemes of the etiopathogenetic therapy of the disease at the early and late stages (phases) of the infection generalization was estimated.

It was shown that the strains of the tularemia, glanders, melioidosis and anthrax pathogens were in vitro highly susceptible to the new agents. The experiments on laboratory animals demonstrated that pefloxacin and sparfloxacin had extremely broad spectra and were of special value in emergency prophylaxis of tularemia, glanders, melioidosis and anthrax.

It was shown that PLA2 deacetylates the glycerol residue at position 2, PLC is inactive, and PLD hydrolyzes the phosphatidylnucleosides to give free nucleosides.

Serial passages in chick embryos preserved the biological activity of the virus better than genetic recombination which was manifested by a significant superiority of the passaged virus over the reassortant in the capacity of replicating in the upper respiratory tracts of the vaccinees, of inducing immune responses and creating the protection of the portals of entry of infection. The problem of optimal preservation of biological potentials of influenza virus in the process of attenuation is discussed.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFSimultaneous immunization with inactivated and live influenza vaccines is characterized by a more rapid and intensive formation of local protection and humoral immunity persisting for 5 months at a higher level than after separate administration of inactivated and live vaccines. The live vaccine was found to be the major factor enhancing the immune response and local protection in combined immunization. Administration as components of a live bivaccine of influenza serotype A viruses with a different degree of attenuation was not accompanied by higher reactogenicity but led to a sharp decrease of immunogenic activity that indicated incompatibility of such viruses in a bivaccine.
