Self-assessed health (SAH) is a widely used tool to estimate population health. However, the debate continues as to what exactly this ubiquitous measure of social science research means for policy conclusions. This study is aimed at understanding the tenability of the construct of SAH by simultaneously modelling SAH and clinical morbidity.

Background: The study aims to evaluate the current state and tendencies in multiple primary breast cancer incidence, behavior, and treatment in Ukraine.
Methods: A total of 2032 patients who received special treatment at the Department of Breast Tumors and Reconstructive Surgery of the National Cancer Institute from 2008 to 2015 were included in the study. Among them, there were 195 patients with multiple primary malignant neoplasms: 54.
Aim: This study aims to describe the current state of multiple primary malignant neoplasms (MPMNs) breast cancer patients management, evaluate the predictive impact of different factors, optimise approaches to diagnosis and treatment of these patients and improve their life quality.
Methods: The study included 2,032 patients who received special treatment at the Department of Breast Tumours and it Reconstructive Surgery of the National Cancer Institute from 2008 to 2015 within an open randomized controlled trial. The presented clinical example convincingly demonstrates the efficacy of dydrogesterone (30 mg) in the prevention of severe preeclampsia in a high-risk patient (early development of preeclampsia and preterm Cesarean section in her first pregnancy, arterial hypertension). This case suggests using dydrogesterone as an option to prevent preeclampsia, as previously shown in a prospective randomized study.

Aim: To study genetic diversity of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains circulating in intensive care unit (ICU), to determine the source of these strains and duration of circulation of epidemically-significant clone in the hospital.
Materials And Methods: Genotyping of 106 P. aeruginosa strains isolated from patients, clinical specimens and fomites was performed by random amplified polymorphic DNA analysis with oligonucleotide primer Sh1 of 10 bp long.
A method for preparation and expansion of mixed keratinocyte and melanocyte culture from human skin biopsy specimens was developed. The culture contains two melanocyte types: derivatives of hair follicle stem cells and epidermal basal layer stem cells. Fibroblasts were completely eliminated after culturing in selective medium.

We developed a new method for evaluation of the purity of cell population in primary cultures of hepatocellular carcinoma. Expression of potential surface molecular markers on primary cultures of renal tumors was assayed by the method of flow cytofluorometry. CD24 and CD70 were identified as differential markers, which allowed us to distinguish cancer cells from tumor stromal cells in vitro.
