The analysis was applied to clinical course of disease in 102 patients with acquired overt cytomegalovirus infection (75 patients with primary form, 27 patients with reactivation). The primary form of acquired overt cytomegalovirus infection was identified on the basis of detection in enzymoimmunoassay of CMV-lgM under negative CMV-IgG or CMV-IgM and CMV-IgG with avidity less that 50%. Aim: To study effects of the disease activity and comorbid chronic conditions on the incidence of mental disorders in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) treated in the State Institute of Rheumatology, RAMS.

Material And Methods: A total of 115 patients with documented SLE (age 24-45 years, median 34 years, SLE duration 4-17, median 8 years) participated in the study. SLE activity was evaluated by SLEDAI scale, atherosclerosis--by ultrasonic arterial dopplerography, mental disorders--by psychological and psychic scales according to IDC-10.

The paper presents the data of experimental and field studies into the efficiency of Salmonella isolation from differently bacterial-contaminated water, by employing 3 storage media. It shows the benefits of using the test medium versus the storage (magnesium and selenite) media commonly applied by practical laboratories. [Prevention of negative hemodynamic effects of protamine sulfate by simultaneous infusion of microdoses of adrenaline].

[Functional state of the right and left heart at different stages of anesthesia in patients with ischemic heart disease during myocardial revascularization surgery].

57 ischemic heart disease (IHD) patients entered the study of right and left heart function at different stages of anesthesia and operation to reveal possible reasons of myocardial dysfunction and to propose effective prevention of this dysfunction. All the patients were operated on under multicomponent balanced anesthesia (relanium, fentanyl, arduan, nitric oxide with oxygen 1:1). Left ventricular function was assessed at Doppler echocardiography, right ventricular function--at catheterization of the lung artery with a Swan-Ganz catheter with low time constant.

[The effect of current methods of induction anesthesia on the systolic and diastolic functions of the left and right heart in patients with ischemic heart disease].

Perioperative echocardiography and right ventricular volumic monitoring were used for more essential evaluation of different hypnotics in cardiosurgical patients. Our comparative study has shown that all the examined hypnotics induced no changes in systolic function of the left ventricle. Midazolam and propofol exerted minor depressive influence only on diastolic left ventricular function without significant fall of cardiac output.

The paper gives the results of arterial blood flow monitoring in the circle of Willis via transcranial Doppler during 81 reparative operations on brachiocephalic arteries (including carotid endarterectomy from the internal carotid artery in 32 patients).
