Based on the cytogenetic material presented in the present study, the geographical distribution of two karyoforms (2n = 46: NF = 84 and NF = 72) was examined in 20 geographic localities of European Russia (within the interval between the longitude 34 degrees-56 degrees East and 51 degrees-61 degrees). The places of findings of two karyoforms, "arvalis" and "obscurus", in Russia have been supplemented and were shown to be significantly closer; whereas the well-known distribution boundaries for the "obscurus" form were specified in the northern and southern parts of Russia.

The fibronectin level lowering may be a predictor of occurrence and diagnostical criterion for infective complications in patients with destructive pancreatitis. Application of clexane had promoted the fibronectin level raising in the blood serum in patients with sterile and infected pancreatic necrosis.

An analysis of treatment of 2740 patients with acute destructive pancreatitis from 1973 up to the present has been performed together with that of relevant published literature. Different factors of diagnosis and those of treatment of acute pancreatitis were found to influence the prognosis of the illness in some way or other. It has been noted that delayed surgery permit obtaining better results.

Based on the above analysis, an algorithm has been developed to be used in diagnosis and treatment of necrotic forms of pancreatitis, that permitted reducing the postoperative mortality associated with the pathology under consideration from 31.3% to 14.

Expediency is proved of employment of conservative treatment (pancreatic secretion blockers, antioxidants, antibiotics, different kinds of extracorporal and intracorporal detoxication etc.).

The efficacy of an active-surgical, active-temporizing and conservative tactics was estimated, the basic components of conservative therapy, indications to surgical treatment of an AP were considered.

The dendrograms of genetic similarity between the representatives of the tribe Arvicolinae (Gray, 1821) were constructed, based on the data obtained by means of both methods. The topology of the genetic similarity dendrogram that is based on the RAPD-PCR data generally correlates with the genetic distances estimated from biochemical and karyological data.
