Different indices of cumulative risk assessment of combination of residues of pesticides which may simultaneously be present in raw agricultural crops, based on toxic evaluation of such combination have been presented. Risk for population health due to consumption of raw agricultural crops with triazole residues is acceptable on hazard index, point of departure index and cumulative risk index, exceeds allowable level on criterion "total margin of exposure".

A system for evaluation of the ability of human blood serum to affect endothelial cell proliferation was developed and tested. The system based on incorporation of (3)H-thymidine into DNA was used to analyze the effects of hormone replacement therapy on endothelial repair and angiogenesis. Blood serum from 12 menopausal women less effectively activated endothelial proliferation compared to control donor serum.

The results of the comparative study of the phenotypical properties and the plasmid profile of 63 strains of salmonellae, belonging to 44 serotypes of groups B, C1, C2, C3, D, E1, E4, F. The study revealed that strains of different serotypes had their individual plasmid profile. Strains of the same serotype of salmonellae isolated from similar sources had an identical plasmid profile, while strains isolated from different sources differed in their plasmid profiles, though they might have a similar phenotype.

Methods for the production of and screening for monoclonal antibodies (MAB) to Salmonella antigens have been optimized. Schemes for immunization of animals have been developed for various Salmonella antigens. Prolonged (up to 6 months) immunization is needed to obtain antibodies in high titers to 0-antigen, short (up to 1 month) to obtain antigens to K-antigen.

The results of comparative analysis of blood formula, volume and cellular content of peritoneal effusion in children operated on for acute appendicitis are presented. In unfavourable course of the postoperative period, a significant decrease in content of neutrophil granulocytes in the peripheric blood and its increase in the peritoneal effusion as compared with the indices in the control group was noted.

The doses of irradiation of patients during the use of 99mTc-pyrphotech and 113mIn-indifor have been defined on the basis of their pharmacokinetics. The data has been obtained with the use of radiometer of human radiation, the method of organs screening during radiometry, and of the gamma-camera and blood samples radiometry. The calculations have been performed in accordance with the known method based on the heterogeneous model of the "standard" human.

The experiments with male albino rats showed that in toxic doses tetracycline induced affections of the liver evident from activation of transferases and alkaline phosphatases in the blood serum, inhibition of bile secretion, synthesis and secretion of bile acids and excretion of bilirubin and cholesterol with the bile. Moreover, the content of the products of lipid peroxidation in liver homogenates increased. Acute intoxication with ethyl alcohol also induced hepatic disorders.
