Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS) is a rare yet well-known exfoliative skin syndrome. It involves extensive desquamated areas caused by an exfoliative toxin from Staphylococcus aureus. The typical presentation of SSSS allows for early diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
