Background: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a cluster of risk factors related to diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD). Given that early identification of MetS might decrease CVD risk, it is imperative to establish a simple and cost-effective method to identify individuals at risk of MetS. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between several atherogenic indices (including AIP, TyG index, non-HDL-C, LDL-c/HDL-c, and TC/HDL-c) and MetS, and to assess the ability of these indices to predict MetS.

The objective of the Iranian blood pressure (BP) measurement campaign was to identify individuals with raised blood pressure and providing appropriate care and increase the awareness among the public and policymakers of the importance of tackling hypertension.
Methods: The campaign was conducted in two phases.
Propose: The present study has sought to investigate the prevalence of diabetes and its related risk factors, to examine the relationship between demographic variables, anthropometric indices, sleep quality, and Metabolic Equivalent Task (MET) with diabetes in Khuzestan province, southwest Iran.
Methods: The present study has a cross-sectional design (the baseline data of the Hoveyzeh cohort study as a sub-branch of the Persian Prospective Cohort Study). Comprehensive information from 10,009 adults (aged 35-70 years) was collected from May 2016 to August 2018 through a multi-part general questionnaire containing general characteristics, marital status, education, smoking, sleep quality, MET, and anthropometric indices.
Background: So far, no comprehensive studies have been performed to assess burden and determinants of anemia in Iran. In the present study, we aimed to answer this query using the data obtained from the Prospective Epidemiological Research Studies in IrAN (PERSIAN).
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we included 161,686 adult participants (aged 35 years and older) from 16 provinces of Iran.
