A 50-year-old male with a pancreatic tail tumor underwent distal pancreatectomy. At 14 and 27 months after the primary surgery, metachronous liver metastases were identified and partial hepatectomies were performed for each. Pathologic findings of the primary pancreatic tumor were heterogeneous, but they essentially categorized into two components based on their cytologic features: (i) clear cell component and (ii) epithelioid cell component.

KRT6A, classified as a type II KRT, is normally expressed in stratified squamous epithelium and squamous cell carcinomas. Little is known about the expression and role of KRT6A in adenocarcinomas.

Undifferentiated carcinoma, a rare subtype, poses a clinical challenge owing to a limited understanding of its molecular characteristics. In this study, we conducted genomic analysis specifically on a case of undifferentiated carcinoma of the pancreas exhibiting squamous differentiation.

This prospective cohort study aimed to examine and compare the perinatal prognosis, efficacy rate, and safety of drugs frequently used to treat constipation.
Methods: The study included 211 perinatally managed individuals who answered a self-administered questionnaire during the second trimester and after delivery.
Introduction: Tall cell carcinoma with reversed polarity (TCCRP) is a rare histologic subtype of breast cancer that was newly categorized in 2020. TCCRP is a relatively novel tumor, and there are no detailed reports about its cellular morphology. We were able to obtain imprint cytological specimens from fresh TCCRP tissue, and we provide our detailed observations.

This study aimed to examine the perioperative outcomes of HoLEP using a new laser platform, Lumenis Pulse™ 120H, and a previous laser platform, VersaPulse Select 80W. A total of 612 patients who underwent holmium laser enucleation were enrolled, including 188 and 424 patients who underwent enucleation using Lumenis Pulse 120H and VersaPulse Select 80W, respectively.

We evaluated the time to achieve urinary continence with the modified Hood technique compared with the standard or umbilical ligament preservation robot-assisted radical prostatectomy.
Methods: This retrospective analysis examines patient records for those who underwent robot-assisted radical prostatectomy at the Jyoban Hospital of Tokiwa Foundation in Fukushima, Japan, from 2017 to 2021.
Overactive bladder (OAB) significantly reduces quality of life. The primary goal of this study was to determine whether the gender combination of patient and physician may be associated with satisfaction with OAB treatment. This questionnaire survey was conducted at Jyoban Hospital.

Here we retrospectively evaluated 298 robot-assisted radical prostatectomies, including 25 with and 273 without previous holmium laser enucleation of the prostate, performed in 2015-2022. Regarding perioperative outcomes, operative and console times were significantly longer in the previous holmium laser enucleation of the prostate group.

Using recombinant human thyrotropin (rhTSH) may avoid these changes; however, these two preparation methods have not been compared in the literature. The purpose of this study was to reveal whether THW and rhTSH as preparation methods for RIT affect serum electrolytes differently.

However, information is lacking on its nature in community hospital settings, particularly in Asian countries. The purposes of this study were to investigate the time required to recover from PUI after RARP and to identify its associated factors in a Japanese community hospital.

Recognition of histological patterns that can predict prognosis is important in pathological examination. Recently, the complex glandular pattern was defined as a morphology associating the poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma.

The present study examined the utility of a bile proteome analysis using a high-sensitivity mass spectrometer to comprehensively screen for novel PSC biomarkers.
Methods: Bile endoscopically collected from patients with PSC, common bile duct stones, and biliary tract cancer were subjected to high-precision liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry.
Objectives: Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate is well-established and effective for bladder outlet obstruction due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. The objective of this study was to examine the detection rate of incidental prostate cancer by holmium laser enucleation of the prostate and variables associated with them.
Methods: A total of 612 patients were enrolled.
Ovarian germ cell tumors composed of numerous well-formed embryonal bodies have been described as exhibiting a "polyembryoma pattern." In addition, some germ cell tumors are occasionally concomitant with neoplastic vascular proliferation. These include angiosarcomas and the recently reported mediastinal vasculogenic mesenchymal tumors.

We report two cases of BOS after HSCT, which showed distinct clinical courses and were successfully treated with LTx. The respiratory symptoms and function of the two patients progressively deteriorated to a critical level during the waiting period.
