The spectrum of HHV-8-associated disorders includes Kaposi's sarcoma, primary effusion lymphoma, multicentric Castleman's disease, and the recently described KSHV inflammatory cytokine syndrome (KICS), a life-threatening disorder complicating HIV infection. There have been no reports in the literature concerning non-immunosuppressed individuals affected with KICS.
