Introduction: As artificial intelligence systems like large language models (LLM) and natural language processing advance, the need to evaluate their utility within medicine and medical education grows. As medical research publications continue to grow exponentially, AI systems offer valuable opportunities to condense and synthesize information, especially in underrepresented areas such as Sleep Medicine. The present study aims to compare summarization capacity between LLM generated summaries of sleep medicine research article abstracts, to summaries generated by Medical Student (humans) and to evaluate if the research content, and literary readability summarized is retained comparably.

The objective measurement of hypoaesthesia after Total Knee Arthroplasty and its correlation with skin incision length: a prospective study.

Purpose: This study aims to measure the peri-incisional numbness developing after Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) performed using the midline skin incision. It studies the natural course of the numbness and determines its correlation with the skin incision length (SIL).

Uniqueness of lung cancer in Southeast Asia.

Lung cancer varies between Caucasians and Asians. There have been differences recorded in the epidemiology, genomics, standard therapies and outcomes, with variations according to the geography and ethnicity which affect the decision for optimal treatment of the patients. To better understand the profile of lung cancer in Southeast Asia, with a focus on India, we have comprehensively reviewed the available data, and discuss the challenges and the way forward.

Effect of oxygen generating nanozymes on indocyanine green and IR 820 mediated phototherapy against oral cancer.

The hypoxic environment within a solid tumor is a limitation to the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy. Here, we demonstrate the use of oxygen generating nanozymes (CeO, FeO, and MnO) to improve the photodynamic effect. The optimized combination of process parameters for irradiation was obtained using the Box Behnken experimental design.

Further, enzyme immobilization on magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) facilitates the easy recovery and reuse of biocatalysts.
