Gold standard method for the treatment of critical-sized bone defects is the autogenous bone grafting procedure. A number of new and potentially useful adjuncts currently are being investigated to enhance the success of bone grafting. We propose to evaluate the effect of the most known and easily obtained 2 biological materials, fat graft and platelet-rich plasma (PRP), on bone graft healing.

Tuberculosis mastitis (TM), one of the causes of GM, is a rare form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. The clinical, radiological, and histopathological findings of TM and GM are similar, and sometimes it is difficult to make a distinction between these disease states.

This case-control observational study aims to investigate the possible relationship of these elements to the diagnosis and pathophysiology of the disease.
Methods: This case-control observational study was performed using 40 AD patients in different clinical stages and 40 healthy control subjects, living in a similar environment with low As exposure.
Objective: Invasive breast carcinomas of no special type (IC-NST) are the heterogeneous tumours showing distinct prognostic features even in patients with similar clinicopathological characteristics. To date, many clinicopathological data have been analyzed to make a guess about prognosis and to determine treatment modality. In this study, HER-2/neu status was analyzed by using both immunohistochemical (IHC) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) methods, and its correlations with hormone receptor status and clinicopathological parameters were investigated.

A small percentage of LCNC called combined LCNC, can be seen in combinations with other lung tumor types. Multimodal therapy is proposed for this type of tumor but there is no any significant therapy since it is very rare tumor.

We aimed to evaluate especially the process of extrinsic apoptosis in the spectrum of neoplastic lesions of the prostate epithelium so as to reveal the variations in the apoptotic process.
Material And Method: The study included 20 benign prostatic hyperplasia, 8 high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and 82 prostatic carcinoma patients.
Objective: There is no other screening program close to the success rate of PAP test. Cervical cytology constitutes a large workload so that quality control in cervical cytology is important for the quality assurance of pathology laboratories.
Material And Method: In this study, we collected the cervical cytology results from all over Turkey and discussed the parameters influencing the quality of the PAP test.

This study aims to determine the relationship of trace metal elements to the pathogenesis and/or course of Alzheimer Disease in terms of clinical severity.
Methods: The hair and nail trace metal levels of 62 Alzheimer Disease patients at different clinical stages (21 mild, 20 moderate, 21 severe) and 60 healthy control subjects were measured by using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, CHO, contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules (1 and 2) with similar conformations. In both mol-ecules, the cyclo-hexane rings adopt a chair conformation, while the oxane rings are also puckered. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect adjacent mol-ecules, forming (6) helical chains located around a 2 screw axis and running along the crystallographic axis.

The direct toxic effect of contrast media; ischemic damage caused by reactive oxygen species; increased perivascular hydrostatic pressure; high viscosity and changes in the activity of vasoactive substances play important roles in the pathogenesis. Tadalafil inhibits the phosphodiesterase enzyme which destroys nitric oxide.

The pathogenesis of PSGN has been ascribed to activation of complement 3 (C3) of the alternative complement cascade which, along with immunoglobulin (Ig) G and IgM deposits, is observed in renal tissue. Our aim here is to discuss the probable causes of PSGN developing with isolated IgM deposition in a 52-year-old patient with essential thrombocytosis followed-up over the previous 3.

Methods: A right tibia fracture was created and fixed with an intramedullary pin in forty four male Wistar-albino rats. The rats were then randomly allocated to fracture, fracture-ischemia, fracture- ischemia-melatonin, and fracture-ischemia-CAPE groups.

Material And Methods: The medical records of patients who had been diagnosed and treated at one university hospital, six government hospitals, and one specialist hospital in Tokat province between January 2005 and December 2012 were evaluated retrospectively.
Results: During the study period, there were 59,754 births and GTD was diagnosed in 73 cases.
Giant cell arteritis is a granulomatous vasculitis characterized by medium or large sized vessel involvement. Although extracranial branches of the carotid artery are typically involved, involvement of aorta and its major branches can also be seen. Cardiac involvement has been encountered less frequently and pericardial effusion is rarely encountered.

Objective: Tularemia can cause cervical lymphadenopathy. Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) cytology is the first step in the workup for cervical lymphadenopathy; however, little has been published regarding the cytomorphological features of tularemia lymphadenitis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the FNA cytology of tularemia lymphadenitis.

Introduction: Solid pseudopapillary tumor (SPT) of pancreas is an unusual low-grade malignant epithelial tumor that usually occurs in young women and can be treated with surgical resection. Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common solid lesion of the kidney and primarily a disease of the elderly patient.
Presentation Of Case: In this article we present a case of RCC with concomitant SPT of the pancreas who was treated successfully with a radical nephrectomy and distal pancreatectomy.
Terlipressin is a synthetic vasopressin analogue that is used in the treatment of bleeding esophageal varices and hepatorenal syndrome in patients with cirrhosis. Hepatorenal syndrome is a form of renal failure seen in patients with cirrhosis, with fatal outcomes. Ischemic adverse effects related to terlipressin are rarely observed.
