Background: To investigate the pregnancy-related issues in females with multiple sclerosis (MS) from Turkiye, Egypt, Kuwait, and Iran.
Methods: 1692 pregnancies of 701 females with MS were evaluated in this retrospective multicenter, international project. Demographics, clinical features, pregnancy outcomes, relapses, effects of exposure to disease-modifying drugs on pregnancy and fetus, and worries about pregnancy decisions were investigated.
Background: Endothelial cells (ECs) use glycolysis to produce energy. In preclinical models of peripheral arterial disease, further activation of EC glycolysis was ineffective or deleterious in promoting hypoxia-dependent angiogenesis, whereas pentose phosphate pathway activation was effective. Hexosamine biosynthesis pathway, pentose phosphate pathway, and glycolysis are closely linked.

We aimed to compare vitamin D, DBP, and specific inflammatory markers among intensive care unit (ICU) patients with and without the COVID19 virus.
Methods: This multicenter study in two training and research hospitals included 37 (13 female) COVID-19positive and 51 (34 female) COVID-19-negative ICU patients.
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of mechanical, chemical, and mechanical-chemical surface treatment methods on shear bond strength between acrylic denture teeth and thermoplastic nylon denture base.
Materials And Methods: Maxillary central incisor teeth were treated with five different surface treatment methods: mechanical (sandblasting, T-shape diatoric holes), chemical (5% acetic acid solution, bonding agent), and mechanical-chemical (sandblasting + bonding agent) were embedded in thermoplastic nylon denture base (n = 10). A universal testing machine with a crosshead speed of 0.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the level of evidence (LOE) characteristics and associated factors that change over time in three leading prosthodontics journals.
Materials And Methods: Articles published in The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (JPD), International Journal of Prosthodontics (IJP), and Journal of Prosthodontics (JP) in 2013 and 2020 were reviewed by eight independent reviewers. After applying exclusion and inclusion criteria, the number of authors, the corresponding author's educational degree, corresponding author's origin in each clinical research article were recorded.
Statement Of Problem: Information regarding facial landmark measurement using machine learning (ML) techniques in prosthodontics is lacking.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the reliability, validity, and accuracy of facial anthropological measurements using both manual and ML landmark detection techniques.
Material And Methods: Two-dimensional (2D) frontal full-face photographs of 50 men and 50 women were made.
Purpose: The Medical Education Research Study Quality Instrument (MERSQI) has been used frequently to assess the methodological quality of medical education but not for dental education. The present study aimed to assess the methodological quality using MERSQI scores of articles published in the Journal of Dental Education (JDE) and the European Journal of Dental Education (EJDE).
Methods: A cross-sectional assessment of the quality of manuscripts published in 2012, 2017, and 2022 JDE and EJDE was conducted.
Biological variation (BV) plays a crucial role in determining analytical performance specifications, assessing serial measurements of individuals, and establishing the use of population-based reference intervals. Our study aimed to calculate the BV and BV-based quality goals of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OH D), ferritin, folate and vitamin B12 tests. We included a total of 22 apparently healthy volunteers (9 women and 13 men) aged 18-55 years in the study that we conducted in Turkey.

The inter commissural (ICW), interalar (IAW), intermedial-canthus (MCW), interlateral-canthus (LCW), and interpupillary (IPW) widths are used to determine the width of maxillary central incisors (CW). The aim of this study was to develop an automated approach using machine learning (ML) algorithms to predict central incisor width in a young Turkish population using anthropological measurements.

Background: This study aims to investigate the risk factors and surgical outcomes of conversion to median sternotomy in minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass grafting.
Methods: Between January 2017 and July 2022, a total of 274 patients (246 males, 28 females; mean age: 57.0±9.
Background: Follow-on disease modifying therapies (FO-DMTs) do not always require Phase III studies. There are concerns that cheaper FO-DMTs are only used to reduce healthcare costs. However, the well-being of people with MS (pwMS) should be a priority.

The purpose of this study is to examine the quality of life and to analyse the psychosocial challenges of MS patients in North Cyprus and Germany.
Methods: This study was designed with a cross-sectional and comparative research method.
Background: During multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment different modes of action such as lateral (interferon beta to glatiramer acetate or glatiramer acetate to interferon beta) or vertical (interferon beta/glatiramer acetate to fingolimod) drug switch can be performed. This study aims to investigate the clinical effectiveness of switching from the first-line injectable disease modifying treatments (iDMTs) to fingolimod (FNG) compared to switching between first-line iDMTs.
Methods: This is a multicenter, observational and retrospective study of patients with relapsing-remitting MS who had lateral and vertical switch.
Background: Data on biological variation in saliva samples are quite limited. This study aimed to obtain well-defined biological variation data for seven common clinical chemistry analytes and Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) in saliva.
Methods: Unstimulated whole saliva and blood samples were collected from thirty-two healthy volunteers of both genders without any history of disease or metabolic syndrome under standard conditions at six different times within three weeks.
Background: Fingolimod, natalizumab, and ocrelizumab are commonly used in the second-line treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). However, these have only been compared in observational studies, not in controlled trials, with limited and inconclusive results being reported. A comparison of their effect on relapse and disability in a real-world setting is therefore needed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics and level of evidence (LOE) scores of studies published in 3 leading peer-reviewed prosthodontic journals.
Material And Methods: Clinical studies published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (JPD), the Journal of Prosthodontics (JP), and the International Journal of Prosthodontics (IJP) in 2013 and 2020 were included in the analysis.
Purpose: Studies comparing tensile bond strength of various soft and hard denture liner materials to conventionally and additively manufactured denture base resins are lacking. The purpose of this study was to investigate the tensile bond strength between chair- and laboratory-side soft and hard relining materials and denture-base materials produced by additive manufacturing and conventional methods.
Materials And Methods: A total of 120 dimethacrylate-based additively manufactured and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA)-based conventionally fabricated dumbbell-shaped denture-base resins were produced.
Introduction: Blood gas analysis (BGA) is an essential test used for years to provide vital information in critically ill patients. However, the instability of the blood gases is a problem. We aimed to evaluate time and temperature effects on blood gas stability.

Despite the emergence of research in the last decade documenting causes, types, and course of cognitive difficulties in MS disease subtypes, limited evidence is available in the literature for direct comparison of self-management and cognitive deficits. In this study we aimed to investigate the relationship between cognitive performance and self-management in pwMS.
