The present experimental study aimed to assess the wound healing and anti-inflammatory effects of green synthesized copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) by the methanol extract of (Boiss), as a plant with various pharmacological effects, such as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects, in traditional and modern medicine. The precipitation approach was used for the green synthesis of CuNPs by mixing the methanol and copper sulfate solution. Cell viability and fibroblast proliferation assay were performed by MTT (3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-Diphenyltetrazolium Bromide) assay.

In this study, the antioxidant (DPPH and ABTS radical-scavenging, ferric-reducing, iron (II)-chelating), anti-inflammatory (LPS-induced Raw 264.7 cell line), and cytotoxic activities (Du145 and A549 cell lines) of raw fruit, ripe fruit and leaves of the species were examined. Patients with high tumor mutational burden (TMB) levels do not consistently respond to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), possibly because a high TMB level does not necessarily result in adequate infiltration of CD8 T cells. Using bulk ribonucleic acid sequencing (RNA-seq) data from 9311 tumor samples across 30 cancer types, we developed a novel tool called the modulator of TMB-associated immune infiltration (MOTIF), which comprises genes that can determine the extent of CD8 T cell infiltration prompted by a certain TMB level. We confirmed that MOTIF can accurately reflect the integrity and defects of the cancer-immunity cycle.

The aluminum ion battery (AIB) is a promising technology, but there is a lack of understanding of the desired nature of the batteries' electrolytes. In this study, 11 hydroxybenzoic acids, 6 hydroxycinnamic acids, 6 flavonoids, and 2 synthetic phenolic antioxidants were evaluated according to their scavenging capacity and structure relationships. The IC50 was calculated for all compounds and the effects of the concentration of antioxidant and the length of the reaction on antioxidant capacity were taken into consideration. Based on the data of tested phenolics some structure-activity relationships were suggested and discussed in detail.

We report a rapid experimental procedure based on high-density in vivo psoralen inter-strand DNA cross-linking coupled to spreading of naked purified DNA, positive staining, low-angle rotary shadowing, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) that allows quick visualization of the dynamic of heavy strand (HS) and light strand (LS) human mitochondrial DNA replication. Replication maps built on linearized mitochondrial genomes and optimized rotary shadowing conditions enable clear visualization of the progression of the mitochondrial DNA synthesis and visualization of replication intermediates carrying long single-strand DNA stretches. One variant of this technique, called denaturing spreading, allowed the inspection of the fine chromatin structure of the mitochondrial genome and was applied to visualize the in vivo three-strand DNA structure of the human mitochondrial D-loop intermediate with unprecedented clarity.

Although human nucleoporin Tpr is frequently deregulated in cancer, its roles are poorly understood. Here we show that Tpr depletion generates transcription-dependent replication stress, DNA breaks, and genomic instability. DNA fiber assays and electron microscopy visualization of replication intermediates show that Tpr deficient cells exhibit slow and asymmetric replication forks under replication stress.
