[The dynamics between psychopathology, radicalization and extremism: vulnerabilities and risk management].

Background: Part of the people who radicalize suffer from psychiatric symptoms and some of the people who resort to extremist violence have previously been in contact with mental health services. The question is how psychopathological characteristics can influence radicalization and what mental health professionals can do about this.

Aim: Provide insight into the interaction between psychopathology, radicalization, extremism and how mental health professionals can integrate vulnerabilities into treatment.

Proof of Concept of Novel Visuo-Spatial-Motor Fall Prevention Training for Old People.

Falls in the geriatric population are one of the most important causes of disabilities in this age group. Its consequences impose a great deal of economic burden on health and insurance systems. This study was conducted by a multidisciplinary team with the aim of evaluating the effect of visuo-spatial-motor training for the prevention of falls in older adults.

Reaction Time Improvements by Neural Bistability.

The often reported reduction of Reaction Time (RT) by Vision Training) is successfully replicated by 81 athletes across sports. This enabled us to achieve a mean reduction of RTs for athletes eye-hand coordination of more than 10%, with high statistical significance. We explain how such an observed effect of Sensorimotor systems' plasticity causing reduced RT can last in practice for multiple days and even weeks in subjects, via a proof of principle.

Study of coupled nonlinear partial differential equations for finding exact analytical solutions.

Exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations (NPDEs) are obtained via the enhanced (G'/G)-expansion method. The method is subsequently applied to find exact solutions of the Drinfel'd-Sokolov-Wilson (DSW) equation and the (2+1)-dimensional Painlevé integrable Burgers (PIB) equation. The efficiency of this method for finding these exact solutions is demonstrated.
