Bounded ethicality refers to people's limited capacity to consistently behave in line with their ethical standards. Here, we present results from a pre-registered, large-scale (N = 11,050) survey of researchers in Sweden, suggesting that researchers too are boundedly ethical. Specifically, researchers on average rated themselves as better than other researchers in their field at following good research practice, and rated researchers in their own field as better than researchers in other fields at following good research practice.

We assessed clinical performance and ease-of-use of seven Ag-RDTs in a prospective, manufacturer-independent, multi-centre cross-sectional diagnostic accuracy study to inform global decision makers.
Methods: Unvaccinated participants suspected of a first SARS-CoV-2 infection were recruited at six sites (Germany, Brazil).
Phytochrome A (phyA) comprises two native types, phyA' and phyA″, with distinct spectroscopic, photochemical, and functional properties, differing at the N-terminal extension, probably, by the state of phosphorylation. To find out if and how protein phosphatases (PP) affect the state of the phyA species in planta, we studied the effect of the non-specific phosphatase inhibitor NaF on etiolated maize seedlings with the use of low-temperature fluorescence spectroscopy and photochemistry. In roots, phosphatase inhibition facilitated photoreceptor destruction in its labile phyA' form and shifted the phyA'/phyA″ ratio towards the more stable phyA″.

This concept was introduced in a now classic article by Kahan, Peters, Dawson, & Slovic [2017, Behavioral Public Policy 1, 54-86], who used numeracy to index reasoning capacity, and demonstrated that the tendency to engage in ideologically congruent interpretation of facts increased substantially with people's numeracy. In this work, effects of defense-related jasmonic acid (JA) on phytochrome A (phyA) were investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy making use of two JA biosynthesis mutants of rice: cpm2 with the inactivated gene allene oxide cyclase and hebiba with additional genes deleted.
