Background: The occurrence of lung adenocarcinoma metastasizing to the pancreas is overall rare and can histologically imitate primary pancreatic ductal carcinoma (PDAC).
Case Report: This is a case report of a 70-year-old female with a history of surgically resected right lung adenocarcinoma presenting for routine follow up without symptoms. CT scans revealed a pancreatic cystic mass with ductal dilatation that was sampled via endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) and thought to be a primary pancreatic mucinous neoplasm with high grade dysplasia suspicious for carcinoma based on smear cytology.
The synchronous diagnosis of two or more primary malignancies in a patient is overall rare. This is a case report of a 70-year-old female with a history of skin squamous cell carcinoma presenting with occult hematochezia. Colonoscopy and biopsy results confirmed a microsatellite stable (MMS) adenocarcinoma in the ascending colon, and subsequent computed tomography (CT) scans identified a 3.

Methods: Suspicious/indeterminate EUS-FNA cytology was identified from our database. Stable imaging, benign pathology, or survival for 12 months after EUS-FNA was considered benign.
Background And Aim: Second harmonic generation (SHG) is a novel imaging technology that could provide optical biopsy during endoscopy with advantages over current technology. SHG has the unique ability to evaluate the amount of extracellular matrix collagen protein and its alignment.
Methods: Hematoxylin- and eosin-stained slides from colon biopsies (normal, low-grade dysplasia (LGD), high-grade dysplasia (HGD), and cancer) were examined with SHG imaging.
Background. In patients with benign biliary strictures, the use of fully covered self-expandable metal stents (SEMS) has been proposed as an alternative to plastic stenting, but high quality prospective data are sparse. This study was performed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness and safety of a new fully covered SEMS for benign biliary strictures.

However, the etiological associations range from benign self-limiting causes to life-threatening emergencies. The authors report the case of gastric pneumatosis in a 34-year-old man who presented to the emergency department with severe abdominal pain after multiple episodes of vomiting.

Smoking is an important risk factor for advanced adenomas but there is little data regarding levels of exposure for genders.
Methods: The aim of this study was to use an existing database to examine the genders separately with respect to exposure level and anatomic location of advanced adenomas.
Background: Short-wire endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) systems are perceived to carry advantage over traditional long-wire devices. To date, this potential advantage has not been well documented, and gastroenterologists are confronted in everyday practice with the dilemma of choosing a particular system without the benefit of having objective comparative data.
Aims: The aim of this study was to compare the performance characteristics of the Fusion ERCP short-wire system with traditional long-wire devices.

Aim: To examine the relationship between H. pylori and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) in Iran.
Methods: In this study 51 GORD patients (referred to endoscopy at Taleghani hospital) were compared with 49 age-sex matched controls.
Background: Diagnosis of a foregut duplication cyst is of great clinical impact. A definitive diagnosis of a foregut duplication cyst can avert the need for major thoracic surgery in the otherwise asymptomatic individual. This study sought to evaluate the safety and the utility of EUS and EUS-guided FNA (EUS-FNA) in the diagnosis of foregut duplication cysts.

In this article we have introduced modified GCS motor response (MGMR) and evaluated the performance of logistic models based on this variable. The records of 8452 trauma patients admitted to major hospitals of Tehran from 1999 to 2000 were analysed.

Animal models have demonstrated that increased intrapancreatic ductal pressure plays a role in the development of pancreatitis. The role of intrapancreatic ductal pressure in SOD-induced pancreatitis has not been investigated in humans.

Three hundred and ten raw milk samples were collected from tanks on their arrival at various central dairies, and 40 pasteurized milk samples were collected from tanks on their arrival at a manufacturing plant. Each sample was examined for the presence of Y.

During a 10-month period (February to October 2001), 310 children <10 years of age with diarrhoea and a group of 310 age- and sex-matched controls were selected. Both groups were investigated for diarrhoeal pathogens.

The study included all acute diarrhoea patients who visited the hospitals and treatment centres of Karaj during November 2001-October 2002. Of 734 stool samples collected from patients with acute diarrhoea and analyzed for Shigella spp.
