Purpose: To identify areas of consensus among experts on the performance of endothelial keratoplasty by using a modified Delphi approach, to help create a framework for novice surgeons to adopt these procedures.
Methods: Thirty-one international experts in endothelial keratoplasty participated. Two rounds of electronic survey were followed by a hybrid, virtual meeting.
A 23-year-old woman was referred for low visual acuity in the left eye after a corneal ulcer associated with contact lens use 2 years previously. The patient had a history of contact lens use, reported use of antibiotic eye drops with improvement of infection, and subsequent scarring. There were no comorbidities.

Design: Retrospective cohort study.
Subjects: 60,652 and 1,173,723 individuals with OSA or not, respectively, were included in the study before propensity score matching (PSM).
Purpose: The purpose of our paper is to report on the endothelial viability of a preloaded Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) graft that was found to be in a fully opened, nonscrolled configuration in the glass cannula.
Methods: Case Report.
Results: The preloaded DMEK graft was found to be in an opened, nonscrolled configuration with the endothelial side facing outward in the micro Weiss glass cannula when the preloaded system was visualized in the operating room.
Background & Aims: Guidelines recommend that sub-centimeter nodules on ultrasound be followed with short-interval surveillance ultrasound, given assumed low risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and suboptimal diagnostic imaging performance in lesions <1 cm. We performed a systematic review to estimate HCC risk among patients with cirrhosis and sub-centimeter nodules detected on ultrasound.
Methods: We systematically searched Ovid MEDLINE and EMBASE databases for relevant articles published between January 2005 and July 2024.
Importance: Curcuma-based nutritional supplements (CBNS) are natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents that may confer benefits against age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Objective: To examine the association between the use of CBNS and the risk of development or progression of AMD.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This was a retrospective cohort study with data collection in June of 2024.
Purpose: Patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and subsequent ocular manifestations may have worse outcomes when compared to matched patients with CD without ocular disease.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, an aggregated electronic health records research network, TriNetX (Cambridge, MA, USA), was used to identify patients diagnosed with CD stratified by the presence or absence of ocular involvement with at least 1 year of follow-up. Propensity score matching (PSM) was performed to control for baseline demographics and medical comorbidities.
Purpose: Assessing immune-related ocular toxicities from immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) is crucial, though rare. This study, utilizing real-world data, examines the occurrence of ophthalmic immune-related adverse events (irAEs) after ICI treatment and their impact on overall survival.
Design: A retrospective cohort study.
Importance: While combined treatment of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections plus panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) is a common approach for treating proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) in the clinical practice setting, large randomized clinical trials typically use monotherapy. Subsequently, information is limited as to whether the order of treatment when combining PRP and anti-VEGF injections for PDR affects outcomes.
Objective: To compare outcomes of patients with PDR treated with PRP and subsequent anti-VEGF injections with outcomes of matched patients treated with anti-VEGF injections and subsequent PRP.
Purpose: Conversion to neovascular disease in patients with non-neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) initiated on direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) compared with matched patients treated with warfarin.
Design: Retrospective cohort study.
Participants: The study included 20 300 patients and 13 387 patients with non-neovascular AMD initiated on DOACs or warfarin, respectively, before propensity score matching (PSM).

Purpose: We aim to present a case of disseminated fusariosis that occurred in the setting of immunosuppression and presented with bilateral endogenous endophthalmitis, along with a literature review of endophthalmitis, highlighting management strategies.
Observation: A 70-year-old male with acute myeloid leukemia who had recently undergone a bone marrow transplant noted bilateral floaters and decreased vision. He was found to have bilateral endophthalmitis, with subsequent evidence of fungemia and fusariosis in his skin and joints.

These clinical implications warrant further evaluation in the clinical practice setting.

Background: Emerging diagnostic modalities suggest that miRNA profiles within extracellular vesicles (EVs) isolated from peripheral blood specimens may provide a non-invasive diagnostic alternative for dementia and neurodegenerative disorders. Given that EVs confer a protective environment against miRNA enzymatic degradation, the miRNAs enriched in the EV fraction of blood samples could serve as more stable and clinically relevant biomarkers compared to those obtained from serum.

Purpose: We herein present Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) as an effective surgical means of treatment for the management of interface fluid syndrome (IFS) in a series of cases with distant history of laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).
